My grandma got me a kitten when I was 5 year old. The cat is still alive and kicking.

I have never not had a pet. Hermit crabs, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, turtles, dogs, cats, snakes, I think that is everything. Right now we have 2 7 month old puppies, they are adorable, and 3 snakes, who are cute in their own way. We recently lost our cat we had for 18 years and our 7 year old dog. Both were just old. Still sad about loosing them and miss them a lot.

i was about 9 years old. my godmothers pups just had a liter and i was lucky enough to have one of my very own. he was a chihuahua named whiskey

I've had animals in the house since I was born but the first pet that was mine was a hamster when I was 6.

I have always had dogs & cats in the house since I was born. But the first pet I got to pick out and call mine, was a kitten when I was 6. All the others pets were considered family pets until my siblings each chose their own dog or cat.
In college, it was difficult to adjust to being without any pets in the dorms! Then, when I finally lived alone, I was only allowed to have a cat per the rental agreement. I hated not having a dog, but I got used to the quiet and the cats I accumulated (rescued and lied about having more than one to landlord, shh), are not used to dogs. So, when I moved into my own house last year, I decided not to get a dog, even though I still want one. Maybe later...

I was 19 when I got a Cockatiel. Then a year later, I adopted my dog.
I don't really pay much attention to the bird anymore. My father is a bird person while I prefer Dogs and Cats.
I day-dreamed for ages about having a dog.
I will hopefully be able to add a kitten/cat to the family in a few years. I think that my dog will be compatible. Hopefully, he won't be inclined to eat the cat. lol
