In an earlier poll, I asked what people think is the appropriate age for children to leave home. Now I'm asking what age you were when you left home, (that is, if you have).

I stayed with my parents until 38!!! (I was ill)

My siblings used to tease me and say that even Jesus left at 33!

Left, had to go back for a few months...left again! HOPE i'm out for god, now!

Went off to grad school and got married. I was 23. He was 24.

I was seventeen when I actually moved out. My parents had me keep my permeant address at their place for tax purposes.

When I return to North America I usually live with my mother.

I was 19 when I left my family's apartment, and I haven't returned since and I will NOT move back in ever. My mother and I can't get along to save our lives if we live together.

Its a funny story with us. I had my boyfriend move into my parents house when I was 19(I thought they could use the money and renting without a credit score is almost impossible).
Then someone told us a place that's hard to get into with a great location opened up and we've been here since, Gotten married, and plan on staying as long as possible. Still in our first place.
