What Annoys You The Most About Where You Live Now?

I live in income-based housing. It's run-down, and the neighbors have no pride in their stuff or respect for other people's stuff. My landlord (apartment manager) is old and can't even make it up the steps. She's impossible to get ahold of and works random 3 hr. shifts.

I love where I live. I fixed up my house to what I wanted. My neighbors are cool for the most part. its not that long of a drive into town or work.

Morning traffic and my neighbors son, then the people on the other side of them, well they annoy because of their damn howling beagle. I want to live in the country where the neighbor is down the road, not up your ass.

I like our apartment but I hate where I live, which is the state of New Jersey. The apartment is pretty but overpriced, and management has a reason at least once a month where somebody, whether it's property owners, or fire marshall,or some other "official", you name it ,has to come in and have access to every possible inch of the place. The closest they ever give to a time is what day it will take place. It's a problem because pets have to be crated or out of the building all day, and I have two elderly pets that don't do well in crates or away from home.
There are mystery odors in the buildings that are most noticeable on rainy days. We've cleaned carpets, mopped with bleach, cleaned the walls and bleached the drain to no avail. The building we live in now doesn't smell as bad as the one we were in before, and the odors are different.
We stay here because it's only five minutes away from my mother in law,who is having serious health issues

The upstairs neighbors can be really bad. They love to have late night parties, music almost 24/7 with a lot of bass, stomping battles, yelling fights, vacuum at 3am, etc. Next time, I want a house with no one below/above me or directly on either side.

I could've marked nothing, but I marked other because there's only one very, very slight annoyance about where I live and that would be that I'm in the middle of bum F Egypt (or however that saying goes) and that means I have to travel off the mountain to get to ANY store! We have one gas station up here, on my side. There's plenty more stores on the Alabama side, but they'd take about right near the same amount of time as if I traveled down the mountain.

The annoyance isn't so much about having to travel down the mountain. I actually like that it's so peaceful up here. The annoyance, though, is that even down the mountain we have very little to choose from. I mean, we have the essentials -- 3 grocery stores to choose from, several dollar stores, CVS, banks, and like 6 or 7 gas stations, herb store, book store, tanning bed, fast food. But there's nothing like Wal-Mart or anything where you might need something that isn't carried (or for as cheap as WalMart, usually unless the $ store has it) at a place such as Wal-Mart.

Other than that, there's no complaints here. It really isn't such a nuisance that we don't have shops here because it makes the mini road trips quite fun! Lol.

Okay, that is appalling! I would have thrown it on her the second time, but I'm not as nice as you! I like Trysexual's idea, but don't know if you could tell where she lived to do that. Now, the bag of mangoes was a nice reward!

@ Mwar, thank goodness you are escaping soon!

@ PoP ArchVixen & bog, OMG! What the hell, these kids are running wild! What trashy people, raising kids to be as trashy as they are! Little savages! I had similar neighbors w/kids when in my old rental house & I won't even get started, or I am going to get more angry!

to all those with problems with their neighbor's dog -- I feel your pain, it is the one thing I cannot stand here! I thought once I moved from the trashy people infested neighborhood with the dog problems, that those in this neighborhood would know better & have better manners! Newsflash to those neighbor's, no one wants to listen to your dog howling & barking at all hours of the day & night because you don't let them in/feed them/play with them/other. There are not really bad dogs, there are just bad dog owners!! Inconsiderate louts! You, the owner, are the reason your dog is a pain in the ass! Now, do something about it!

My neighbors, who party all night and have their music turned up where EVERYONE in the residential neighborhood can hear it. Because we're outside of the city limits, there isn't a sound ordinance, and the cops can't do anything about them. It's ridiculous.

We live in a nice house - in a nice neighborhood - in a great part of the country. But! The house is getting older and needing a fair amount of repair, the taxes are high - and as the children move out, it's a little bigger than we need.

Bitch, bitch, bitch...

Nothing really big. I love it here. I guess if I had my own parking space. This is the first place I have lived where that wasn't the case. So pretty much I'm happy here!!

This is the first house I have ever lived in , on my own. up till last year we lived in low income housing. I finally had enough of it and left, I love this house, it is huge, the yard is huge and the kids have a dog finally. but the lady who lived here did not take care of it, it took the land lord six months to get it liveable again, there is still a lot to do, and i feel he is not getting it done fast enough for me, but it is getting done, im just impatient..

I live in a very old house, that hasn't been very well taken care of. We are slowly (with in our means) fixing it, but I get very frustrated with the condition it is in. I also hate my neighbors, they don't watch their kids (they are the grandparents to idk how many grand babies who are ALWAYS over there), and they have animals they keep alive. They don't take care of the animals hardly, and the animals get no attention. That to me is just sad.

Property taxes keep going up every year, even if the real value of one's house does not.
