The air conditioning in the summer months makes it cold enough in the house to use a comforter while sleeping.

I can't sleep without something covering me. I guess I feel exposed or something. I'm always cold anyways, even in the summer so I switch to a lighter comforter. If I get too hot, I'll kick my toes out from the end.

I use just the sheet when I'm hot & when cold, I add a light blanket. I overheat really easily, so I only last under a heavy cover for a few minutes, then I have to kick it off. It's better for me to just use a light cotton or silk blanket that can breath so I don't have to keep repeatedly kicking off/piling on, all night.
I used to need a heavy cover on me. I find the weight very soothing. But I need cool air blowing on my head if I want to do this now. I LOVE sleeping in an ice cold environment, then I can snuggle under all the layers I want. But I don't want the pipes to freeze, or me when I have to go to the bathroom at night.

It still gets a little cool around here on summer evenings - so we keep the comforter on all year. During the hottest spells, we'll chuck it off in favor of a lighter blanket - but that's for just 2-4 weeks per year.

I've only been using a sheet this winter, I'll probably be using a comforter in the summer because we also have awesome central air lol

haha all of the above, all of the time.
i have a top sheet, then 2 fleece blankets, a wool blanket, a thin fleece blanket, and a comforter. on top of all that i put 2 top sheets, because i have a doggy that likes to sleep on my bed and it's easier for me to grab those 2 top sheets and wash every few days rather than washing all my blankets and comforters.
i'm nuts, i know - it's ok lol

If it's hot then I'll just sleep with a sheet, but I keep a comforter at the end of the bed in case it gets cold at night.

since i live where it's either winter (moderately cold) or summer (100+), my AC is usually set pretty low or off. I only use a sheet+thin quilt year round. If it gets too cold i'll grab another blanket or quilt and bundel up, but it doesnt usually get that cold here.
