True, I wasn't aware of the one month turnaround time, that is quite a bit to get to know your toy.

Does the one month now apply to non DRs too? Sometimes it's nice to be able to review a toy several months later as you're still using it or bought it on sale or in advance for specific event and haven't tried it out yet.

I don't think there should be a time limit on non DR reviews, honestly. I've bought several and not gotten to try them out for several months, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't still be able to write a good review when I do get to test them out.

No no, I think you took that the wrong way, or I stated it a bit poorly. One month is plenty of time, I just was not aware that the turnaround was a full month. I was just under the assumption that the DR's would probably be a faster process than non-DR's due to the type of review. Sorry. ??

Lvstoplay, don't worry, 1 month limit is applied only for free assignments (both for DR and regular reviews).

And you still have 'Follow-up review' option, where you can express your further experience..

sigian, yes, indeed DR are written faster than regular reviews.

I remember one DR toy I had that I said was very weak. but now, even after the follow-up review. I seem to rely on it more, so I guess sometimes it takes some time for the toy's indispensable nature
to surface. This toy did not get stronger, just had other strengths.

symbiasin, actually there is no any time limit for follow-up reviews. If you like, you can write it in a year after getting the toy. However, once you wrote it, there's no option to edit it anymore.

I noticed that, I like to take my time with follow-ups, to make sure I have tried out every function I can think of for a toy. ??

I think it should be easier to upload photos that we take for our reviews. I tried to upload over 10 the other night and it would only show 3 on the review of the babydoll review I posted. ( link )

I also think it would be nice if those of us who considered posting reviews for YouTube could have it linked to our YouTube video from EF, not to EF's video page but to ours.

The current extended review template is great, also, and the standard one works too - Of course I already know what to write so the templates are just a bonus to help remind me what I'm doing. I dont think those need any tweaking. Great thread, lots of input!

Also several many of my follow up reviews have been declined or removed because the "product has been discontinued." Honestly this offends me a bit because I'm taking a lot of time away from my personal life to do this, and it doesnt feel like it matters.

I prefer open ended questions to the titles. For example, lately I have been writing in the extended review, but I am going to go back to the template I made for myself. As I do in this review.

I also feel that links at the beginning of the review would help people find the section that they are looking for. The links would be a straight line, go to the section of the article that is listed, and would be right under the pro's and con's. I hope that is easy to understand.

I also think that it would be less redundant to have a 'tag' section for what type of material it is or what type of soap/lubes can be used with it. No necessarily a 'tag,' but similar.

Finally, condensing some areas. For example, I have found that I repeat a lot of content from material/texture in maintenance (material) and design (texture). I feel like they should be grouped differently because as they are grouped now, you repeat a LOT of information.

ETA: I'm a little late to this party....

Well I love how the extended review has the different sections instead of the standard where everything was pretty much in one and you just separate the different parts yourself (seems like it might make it harder to find the information you are looking for).

I think the idea with the links in the beginning of the review is great!

Not sure about the 'tags' as we're going to include all this information about the material and lubes recommended on the product page.

And yes, we'll definitely make the new template unique, so you shouldn't repeat the same things in different review sections.

Thanks for sharing your opinion with us!

BabyBlueMama, maybe you have any other suggestions on how we can improve our review template?

I was actually told before you had about six weeks for DR Assignments, but I don't remember which of the previous managers told me about it. As to free assignments - I have a student or two who have received them, but haven't responded to my emails or reviewed the toys yet, and it's been at least several months...

It would me too - discontinued or not, the review should still be considered valid.

Now you have 1 month to review the toy/lingerie you've got as a free assignment.

Feel free to pm me if you have Students that have been unresponsive for a while.

Maybe if we could review more than one toy at a time we could put in our review how this toy gives even more pleasure and fun when used with this other toy. Or include lube with the toys so we can explain from experience what lube to try with each toy. I think if I got the pleasure pump butterfly with flavored lube I could've explained that the lube made it better and made my partner want to finish me off while using the vibrating cock ring, so on.

I don't particularly agree with this statement due to human nature. I'm sure there are plenty of people in the world who would love to take advantage of EF's review program for the sole purpose of receiving free toys and not contribute to the experience on site or the community. This could lead to an increase in sub par reviews from people who couldn't care less about the site or its members.

But, for verified people who have proven to be a part of the community in the forums and submit quality reviews? Perhaps. There would definitely need to be some sort of qualifications for something like this to ensure the program isn't being abused.

Although, keep in mind, you technically CAN review more than one item at a time! There is the buy-out option, giving a 30% discount on the toy, or you can take advantage of other deals around the site to purchase toys at a bargain price that you can then review. In my latest free-assignment, I ordered some lovely red Stockings along with my item. Would I have liked to have gotten them for free? Sure, who doesn't like free stuff! But as I see it, the purchase is helping me to support this wonderful site.

While this "Accepting Proposals" thread is a bit outdated, recent posts have pushed it back into relevancy and there was a suggestion I wanted to put out into the air but wasn't sure where else to put it.

I think it would be nice for the Buy-Out discount to be able to be applied on top of any store discounts currently available. Lets say, for example, a $20 item is currently having a 50% discount deal, making it $10. If someone wishes to Buy-Out the item, actually using the discount for reviewers would end up stripping the customer-wide discount and make the item $14 after the 30% discount, more than the normal sale. Which seems like an odd arrangement to me. If a reviewer would like to Buy-Out the item for the purpose of reviewing it, in the suggested scenario I've described, the $10 50% price would be subject to the 30% off rather than the full $20 price, making the item $7 for the reviewer.

(Free shipping on Buy-Outs would also totally be cool, seeing as Free Assignments offer the item for free plus free shipping. )

As someone in a financial situation where I can't reasonably be shelling out $20+ with additional shipping costs on sex toys I really want, every little bit of savings help (and I'm sure there are others out there who would agree)

And here's a second suggestion I've been thinking of that's unrelated to the first so I wanted to keep them separate! Please excuse the double post~

This one pertains to the Product Search for reviewers. And, to put it simply, it would really help if the "Price from" search criteria used the base price rather than any discounted price from current sales. Since reviewers have a price cap they can request under based on their ranking, and this cap goes by the original price and not the sales price, it can be misleading to see an item with a price of $39.99 in the Product Search that is actually $79.99 when you check out its product page, a price that falls above even the highest pricing guideline. Even using the "For Free Assignment" criteria along with the "Price from" fails to weed out these searches.

As AudialLust already said, you can review more than 1 toy at once. Some of our Advanced Reviewers get 2 and more toys. Buyout assignments are also an option.

There are situations when I assign 2 products together if these are estim items or other toys that need a controller, for example.

Anyway, you can always pm me regarding the assignments & reviews. I'd be glad to assist.
