#EdenUpdate - Video Review Program Notes - November

Hello Video Reviewers -- and those who are curious about video reviews!

We have a few announcements for this month.

First, did you notice the new Eden Intro on your videos? We removed the kissing couple and have changed to the Eden leaf -- and made it much shorter!

We're happy with it. How do y'all like it?

Second, we have a few actual program changes.

1. You can now do up to five videos per week instead of the four you used to be allowed.

Can I get a woo hoo on that?

2. Payments on all videos have changed. Please have a look at the full guidelines for all of the details -- but the basic changes are:

Regular Video Reviews

1500 EdenPoints for lingerie, bath and body products, storage pouches, towels, games, free gift products, novelty items and all products under $20.00

2000 EdenPoints for products between $20 - $49.99

2500 EdenPoints for products between $50 - $100

3000 EdenPoints for products over $100

Adult Video Reviews

2000 EdenPoints for items up to $25

3000 EdenPoints for lingerie and items $25 - $75

4000 EdenPoints for items $75 - $125

5000 EdenPoints for items over $125

Assigned Video Reviews / Video Review Program Reviews

All assigned video reviews for the Assigned Video Review Program pay 2500 EdenPoints since you also receive a free product

I know these changes will be awesome for some of you and will be disliked by others but, as always, the Video Review program is not set in stone and tends to change as trends demand change.

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask them here on the forum or to email me (carrieann at edenfantasys dot com) and I'll answer as quickly as I can.

One final reminder -- be sure you're checking the Video Review Content Guidelines occasionally to be certain you're including all required information and not including unnecessary information and the Video Review Upload Guidelines to refresh yourself on the proper way to upload, tag, title, categorize and describe your items.

Nice! I did notice the new intro on the video reviews - I was hoping it was a keeper, not just for fall. I really like it!

Changes are always good. sometimes the process may hurt a bit, but we grow because of it. HUGS..

I notice the new intro a few days ago. I love it!!!

I do have one question. Do the payment amounts go into effect today or do they affect the videos uploaded over the weekend?

Payments go into effect for any video uploaded starting today. The ones from late Friday or the weekend will still pay out at the old points values.

Might be easier to bookmark the guideline page. All the same info is on there but that way you'll also stay aware of unannounced changes

For lingerie, we've always done the lowest points or gift card value for the simple reason that lingerie styles usually follow the seasons and trends and are not a "forever" product. Lingerie goes OOS quickly or is discontinued, meaning the videos are only "good" for a limited time.

We actually just started allowing vids on lingerie at all in the past year.

Some exceptions may be made - all it takes is an email to talk to me about it - if the item is super high end and a more permanent lingerie item but they are, admittedly, rare.

A review is required to be able to do a video. As far as I know how long ago a review was published does not matter as long as it is not discontinued and don't already have the max number of videos.

So the answer to your question is.. the amounts shown above.

That is what we call a regular video review, Sir. Basically, you can add video to any review you've already written -- assuming it's approved -- and earn points for it.

You just need to email me in advance and get the okay. Each product is only allowed 2 regular vids and 2 adult vids so I have to check if it's already got those or has those in the works. So long as it's clear, I give the ok, you add the video, email me with the link to review with video attached and I pay ya based on the above scale

Here is info on that from the Video Review Guidelines page:

Assigned Video Reviews

Our assigned video review program is a more exclusive program than the regular video review program. To be eligible for our assigned program, you must have an EdenFantasys rank of 6.0 or above. Along with that, you must have uploaded at least two regular video reviews in the past. If you meet those criteria, e-mail Carrie Ann (carrieann -at- edenfantasys.com) and request to be included in the assigned video review program. The video review program has limited spots and not everyone can be accepted. Video reviews done in the Assigned Video Review program must follow all of the above guidelines.

In our assigned video review program, a contributor is sent a toy for review in exchange for a text review and a video review. Our regular review program only requires a text review when you are sent a product for review. You may be a member of our regular review and our assigned video review programs at the same time.

All assigned video reviews for the Assigned Video Review Program pay 2500 EdenPoints.

Hey guys! Want to clear up something that has been causing confusion with the new guidelines.

ALL video reviews that you ask me to add to reviews you've already written or are writing - whether you bought the toy or got it as a regular or DR assignment - are "regular video reviews" and get paid in points based on product cost.

The only ones that get the base 2500 point are the ones I assign to those in the Assigned Video Review Program.

Hope that clears things up. Lots of y'all have been emailing me about the vids you add to DR assignments but those are totally separate -- you're choosing to add vids to an assignment you got as part of another program, not required to add them as part of the VR program.
