Do you think video reviews are starting to go down or up hill?

I like both. The regular video reviews are VERY helpful when looking at a toy, it makes it easier to see the size or shape that can hard to judge from just a picture.
The Sexy ones are just plain fun to watch and can sometimes give you an idea on ... more
I agree

I want to know what it is all about, not see it.

Really awesome question, by the way!

I've watched my share of porn, and everyone else's for that matter.I would much rather watch a review of the toy, then watch it being rubbed on a body.I know how to find porn, if i want to watch it.

That being said, i understand how difficult it is to stage a video, and use proper lighting.

I'm usually short on time, and none to thrilled when i click on a review and it's the non-descriptive type.Maybe certain video types could be labeled "Artistic review".

To each their own.I'm sure there is room for all three types.

I agree with this. I don't think its neccessary for us to have to see the nakey-ness lol. Show the product (maybe how it is used if there are steps-show its functions and thats about it.) No need for "live demos" on some of them. However, I do think that some of the products (like the body slide) would need a live demo-but only as far as how to mix it, the steps to take etc. I think we can all kind of get how its "used" from there.

As I said in another thread on this topic, I like video reviews because I can see the toy and I'm not totally opposed to the adult ones because they often give me ideas about how I can use the toy. However, I get really uncomfortable with some of these that don't really focus on the toy itself but are more about the reviewer (the ones I've seen are always female) being naked and suggestive. Like, I don't need to see you making bedroom eyes at the toy, sticking in your mouth, etc. I also really don't get why there are some video reviews that are literally just boobs- no reason for it, just the toy and naked breasts. Unless I'm wrong, this site is predominantly women and it feels like these sorts of videos are just for men. Some of them don't even seem like reviews- just music videos of naked women holding the toys with little to no information. That's not a review. That's a porn clip.

The reason some of them don't seem like reviews is because they're really not; they're adult product videos meant to capture the attention of those who are visually stimulated.

We do all sorts of things here at EF so that there is something for everyone. We have a lot of male shoppers who just don't participate on the forum. We try to think about the needs of everyone when we do do things and, honestly, the adult, sexy videos have more views each than any 10 regular videos usually get so...

Someone is liking them

Descriptive, but not too far.

I prefer a descriptive review of the product as opposed to just seeing it and seeing it used and such. The latter seems more like advertisement and doesnt tell me if it's good or bad and doesn't help me make an informed decision at all. It's like photos on reviews except it's a video and alone it says nothing

I like reviews where the toy is being turned on/off, shown how it works, etc., without it being used on a person specifically.
