Butt Plugs

Contributor: merc41 merc41
The wife and I incorporate anal play ( on me ). But ( pardon the pun ) during sex I cannot keep the plug inserted while thrusting. Does anyone else have this problem? The plug we are useing is medium to large in size with a flaired base. Are they meant to be used buy the wearer in a passive position (women on top) or do I need to concentrate more on clenching? It seems to me that it would be distracting to concentrate on keeping it in rather than going with the flow of things.

Choosing a plug
First of all, I'm new here, just registered. So hello! :] I'm a male, somewhat experience with anal toys, and I'm thinking of purchasing a butt plug,.

In general the ability of a butt plug to stay in place is a function of the difference between it's maximum diameter and neck size. A large max-diameter coupled with a small neck size - like the Njoy Pure Plugs, are probably the easiest to keep in.

Weight and design can also play a roll - very smooth metal, silicone or glass will tend to come out more easily than a matte finish silicone with more drag. My wife had a hard time keeping the B-Bomb in place because of the smooth silicone, however when we switched to a matte finish Lovence plug of the same size it stays in nicely.

Having said that - personal anatomy plays an obvious role. As my ass got use to being penetrated it began to relax more easily, I began to find that I needed a larger plug.

Because I also use a plug to get me ready for pegging, I use a glass plug with a somewhat larger neck than the Pure Plug line. The one that works for me has a 2" max diameter and a 1" neck. It's kind of heavy and smooth but so far the 2" size provides enough resistance to keep it in place. But I admit it will occasionally pop out. I may be needing a larger one someday soon

Last comment - excessive lube can be an issue. If I use typical lube to put in my plug - I have no chance - it's coming out. My solution is to use a little shampoo or conditioner in the shower. As I wear it for a while I will work in-and-out until my ass relaxes enough to accept the plug using only water ass the lube. The caveat here is that my wife has to be careful not to pull too quickly when removing the plug - but she's got the technique so it's all good.

Buy a plug with a smaller and longer neck after the widest part has passed. That will make your anal muscles close more tightly around the neck as compared with the wider neck type plugs. Look for examples under the title" the most comfortable anal plug" to see what I meant. Good Hunting!!

This is a good suggestion, DaveMal.

I can also recommend reading this guide on how to choose anal plug.
