I have had anal sex in the past (only on 2 occasions), but they weren't exactly the greatest experience, and it was awhile ago. But my hubby is interested in it, and I know a lot of people enjoy it. So I became more interested, but want to take it one step at a time, so I purchased the heart shaped anal beads and some anal lube. OMG am I scared of what I saw in the package, are anal beads always that LONG?? Are those really ALL supposed to be able to fit up there? I don't want to sound stupid or anything lol, but really, that whole thing can fit up in there? I am probably just worrying over nothing, but I need to make sure first that there isn't some great advise out there that I need to take first
They look so LONG!

Depends on the person you can always have them inserted as far up as you are comfortable with. I am not much help when it comes to anal as I am not all that into it but that was because none of my other partners have made it enjoyable.

I don't like long things for anal play. Anything rigid I can handle about 4" - something softer/flexible up to 7"

Beads are designed to bend in the rectum after insertion, so they'll probably only go about 5" inside.
That said, beads probably aren't the way to go if you're looking at anal exploration or moving towards anal sex. They're designed for "one-time use" - not one time in the sense of "use it and throw it away," but one-time in the sense of putting them in, having sex play, pulling them out at orgasm, then moving on. You can certainly put them back in. but it isn't very convienient.
You're probably better off starting with fingers, then moving to a plug or dildo that can be inserted and removed easily or thrusted. Silicone is great - a silicone dildo can be sanitized and used for anal or vaginal use. Make sure you or your partner plays with your genitals during anal play - it makes it better, but often it can lead to you clenching your anus so it's best to stop genital play right at the time of insertion.

Slowly work your way up till you get use to it. It takes time, if you are like me you will grow to like it. first thing is first though you have to be relaxed to do it, it makes it much easier and doesn't hurt

Interesting, I generally find anal insertion is easier if I'm getting clit stimulation at the same time.
