I highly recommend the Mood naughty series. They're silicone, well made, reasonably priced and come in 3 sizes. I have a large and it is a bit small for me but I still may buy the others to add to the collection. I enjoy a variety of sizes and textures. It's a set that will last a lifetime.
When you decide you can insert the girth, I recommend a glass plug with a ring style base like the Neptune or Icicles No. 14. Glass slides in and out with no friction. It's amazing. The ring style base will give you so much control and will not irritate your cheeks and yes, you can sit down with the ring sticking out.
The mood naughty Large is a starter for me if I feel like I need a warm-up before something else and the Icicles No. 14 slides right in without warm up for me because of the total lack of friction.

Definitely the Mood Naughty Plugs. I always recommend getting at least 2 sizes. They're so slim and nicely tapered, they're ideal for a beginner. The materials and flexibility add to the comfort.
I also recommend the Pure Plugs by Njoy if you're not on a budget. The small is a great size and the materials are awesome for plugs.

I prefer The Love Pacifier Beginner 1 1/4 " diameter and the Love Pacifier Advanced at 1 1/2" which are silecone,which Eden doesn't carry anymore. and the Nob Essence Romp 1 1/2"that is wooden that has been out of stock for months now. These are soft flexible and are good for long term use.

I prefer glass plugs and glass in general when it comes to anal. You always know its clean and it will never tug in the skin when lubed up!
Try "Icicles no .25" or "Sexy Spades" in small.

I agree with the Mood Naughty Plugs! The base is incredible and very comfortable.

Start small first use a finger, move up to a small probe or plug, and dont be afraid to use a lot of lube, lube makes it better. After you get used to small toys you can move up to larger toys. The main thing is to enjoy, if it hurts stop, dont ever force anything, enjoy.
