Some of my non-glass toys are steel but most are silicone, with different levels of firmness. I like variety and wouldn't limit myself to glass.

We use both hard and soft toys - but we did start with glass because it's so easily lubricated and smooth. My preferences these days are the dual-density silicone toys like O2 and Vixskin - too bad EF doesn't carry the main suppliers anymore.
