how does Vixskin compare to Cyberskin?

Forgive me if this has already been covered, but a search didn't show any similar topics.

I bought a Cyber Cock recently. It feels only semi erect, which makes it a bit difficult to insert, and is just too limp for my taste.

I've been really tempted to try a Vixskin Bandit, but how similar is it to Cyberskin in terms of firmness? I really don't want to spend that kind of money on another half-hard dick. I'm leery of trusting the description or the reviews, since the Cyber Cock description and reviews had me expecting something that felt "fully erect" (it feels maybe 70% erect). I've read as many descriptions of both products as I can find, on this site and elsewhere on the web, and all I can really tell is that the Vixskin is much better in terms of quality, because of the material, and that the outer material feels the same or similar. I haven't been able to find any info on whether or not the Vixskin "core" is firmer.

Is there really so much variation in the feel of a fully erect penis? I'm no porn star, but I've had lots of experience with erect penises and under the layer of soft skin, they all felt pretty rigid. Is the dual density just too soft for me?

I've never used it before, but should I just be looking for plain old silicone? Would that give me the combination of life-like and firm? It seems to me that the technology is already here, and in use, to make the "perfect" life-like dildo, if they would just make the core firmer. There is no doubt, I definitely want something realistic! just... not realistically limp : /

Anyway, thanks in advance for any suggestions or insight.

Insightful breakdown of Vixskin Dildo:

Should I buy Vixskin Bandit TOO?
Hey all! So I already have Johnny, which I love. Bandit and Johnny do have similar measurements, but I think they would be different enough...but I...

Vixskin Grip status?
I'm wondering whether Eden will ever carry the Vixskin Grip? I remember it first showing up on the site as a review by Jimbo back in November....

Vixskin in other colors?
Any chance of making vixskin material products in other colors, for those of us that prefer non-realistic colors?

Vixskin, O2, and... Blood? Also Storing Options?
So I sat down and ordered some toys i really wanted with the coupons I had (thanks so much EF!) which ended up being a Whipspider Jellyfish, a Vixskin

Vixskin question
Okay all. I have a question for those who are familiar with the Vixskin line. I am looking to play a trick on my wife by faking a threesome. I have it

Vixskin is truly top of the line.

There are vast differences so I'm going to try my best to canvas them all.

Cyberskin is composed out of softening chemicals. These chemicals, while adding a silky touch, also expose your body to potential hazards- such as a rash or infection. Cyberskin is HIGHLY porous, the only way to prevent the toy from absorbing bacteria is by covering it with a condom. Even if you use condoms every time with your cyberskin toy it will still break down. It's a cheap material and it sucks having to miss out on the smooth, silky texture by covering it with a latex or nonlatex condom.

Vixskin is top of the line. Not only does it look and have the outer texture of cyberskin but it's nonporous, body safe, and isn't made out of chemicals. You don't have to cover it with a condom and you can boil it for 100% sterilization.

I own the Lone star by Vixskin and it's truly a one of a kind. It feels like a real cock because of the firm core. It won't flop around like cyberskin toys tend to do, it stays erect and firm- if you're looking for the right dildo that doesn't feel like it's at half mast or losing its erection than Vixskin is worth investing in.

It may seem like a hefty price tag but Vixskin toys (if stored by themselves in a satin bag or toy case) will last for YEARS. They don't harbor bacteria like cyberskin toys do and Vixskin toys will not break down on you. They earn their weight in gold.

SD, can not be said better! I personally enjoy the Tex by Vixskin, it fills me up and certainly can not be classified as limp. The Leo is also great, the Raquel may appear limp, holding it but it certainly performs for me.

I love the feel of the Vixskin material and so easy to care for.....

Sleeping Dreamer is absolutely right! I own the mustang and it's the first and only vixskin toy I own right now. My first reaction to taking it out of the package was that I should jack it off, if that makes any sense. The outer silicone covering gives it a soft or maybe the looseness feeling of the skin on a real cock. About the only thing that is not real feeling is that it's not warm and the outer skin does not slide no matter how much I wanted it to. The inner core is firm underneath this outer covering making it feel like gripping a real cock. It is not as hard and rigid as say glass or metal though but, neither is a real cock. It's the closest thing I have experienced to the real thing though. It's not as hard to care for as cyberskin either. You don't have to dust vixskin with cornstarch or store it in a cornstarch filled bag as well as everything that Sleeping Dreamer stated. It is an investment though but, I personally feel it is worth the cost considering how long it will last. I hope this helps and I also hope you let us know if you decide to try vixskin! If you do, I'd love to read the review! =)

Sorry! I just wanted to add that while it is not warm initially, you can warm it up in a bowl of warm water or even cool it down in a bowl of cold water but, it doesn't seem to hold the temperature for an extended period of time. Just check the temperature before using it to be safe! =)

I will add my voice that the core of VixSkin toys is firm. I think most of the Cyberskin toys are the same material throughout, so there is not a firm center. VixSkin has a traditional silicone center with a soft (realistic) covering so it is the best of both worlds. It's definitely worth the money.

Thanks so much for all the replies!

I have no qualms at all now about investing in Vixskin.

Oggins, I'll be sure to post a review on the product page and here in this thread. : )

Wonderful! I'll keep an eye out for it! Just in case you don't already know, it is recommended that you only use water based lube with vixskin toys. I know some have successfully used silicone lube too but, just be careful if you decide to try using it too. Do a spot test in case they react with each other. I really hope you like it and have fun! =)

Good advice Oggins, I tend to do my own personal tests of the silicone/silicone lube interactions, and the one that actually has had a reaction is VixSkin, so I agree that staying with water based lubes when using VixSkin is a great idea.

Based on the cost of VixSkin toys, it isn't worth it to me to use silicone lube and ruin them.

I said I'd be back with an update, so here it is - after a couple more months of deciding which size to get, I finally settled on the Vixskin Bandit.

The bad news - it doesn't feel realistically hard to me. As I said before (probably ad nauseum), beneath the soft skin, a fully erect penis actually feels quite rigid to me. I've never had problems inserting an erect penis, ever. But with the Bandit I often have trouble getting it to penetrate, because it's just too squishy.

The good news - the feel of the Bandit has grown on me to some degree, so it wasn't a total waste. I do use it from time to time.

Bottom line - the outer layer was perfect, but the inner core was still too soft for me.

Still on the search for the perfect dildo, and as much as I love the Vixskin's ultra-realistic outer layer, I'd be willing to sacrifice it for a firmer, more rigid shaft.

Suggestions/comments are always welcome, if anyone has any.

Try Adam's Pleasureskin cock. It's not the best material but I had it and the cyberskin dream dick (same shape, in cyberskin) and the difference in firmness was astounding.
Also most higher end cyberskin toys are dual density its just unpredictable. Go for the more recent toys since they have gotten better. Try a realistic outer material with a vibrator inside. Even if you dont use the vibrator they give it a firm resistance. Jenna's dream vibe is like this, so is the Futurotic Veined 6".

I would say a bit of your problem comes from not using or not using enough lube. I always find the toys a bit flaccid and hard to insert until I get some lube on them. it makes them slide just fine. The Cyber Cock Slimline seems erect enough to me but probably would not be stiff enough for you if you dont like the firmness of the normal cyber cock which is why I suggest getting either adam's pleasureskin cock (which is quite firm) or a toy with a vibrating core.

If size isn't a problem for you then the Tantus O2 Revolution might fit the bill. It's got a fairly realistic outer "skin" that you can sterilize, but true to Tantus' nature in making large toys, it's a stiffy.

Actually, size is a bit of an issue; I really prefer something a bit smaller. However, with limited options, I think I'm going to give both the Tantus 02 Revolution and the Adam's Pleasureskin a try. I'm sold on the safety/quality of the Tantus silicone, and the price for the Pleasureskin really can't be beat. So, I'll indulge

Thanks Alan&Michele, and Darling Dove, for the great suggestions!

MWC, I'm glad the information was helpful!

Trios, yes, I do still like the Bandit and it gets fairly consistent use.

I also bought the Tantus 02 Revolution, which is indeed a bit firmer than the Bandit. Unfortunately, I'm not a "size queen" and the Revolution is just too large for me to really enjoy. I should note that the head on the 02 is measurably bigger than the shaft, and for me, that is part of the problem. The width of the shaft itself would have probably been ok, but the large shape/size of the head makes the experience less enjoyable for me.

Overall, the Bandit was a good purchase, but I still haven't found a truly "realistic" dildo.

It's been quite awhile since I've actually shopped around, but I'm starting to wonder if I can't rig up my own version by finding a dildo-type silicone sleeve (I think I remember seeing these marketed somewhere, for men? I'm not terribly well versed in toys, as you can see) and fitting it over a plain aluminum vibrator; preferably one with a slight curve. If I can find the right size/shape vibrator and good quality silicone sleeve that's thick enough, I'd probably have something pretty close to perfect.

So did mine, but she has a very sensitive pussy and she'd actually prefer something even softer.

We had the standard CyberSkin CyberCock, and never had any issue with insertion using lube. She quite enjoyed me using it on her while licking her pussy, but she found it less enjoyable when her pussy muscles would contract - particularly during orgasm. That meant that even though she can easily have many consecutive orgasms, she would sadly only enjoy the dildo up to just before the first one

We purchased the VixSkin Mustang, (which is a similar size to the CyberCock), hoping it would be at least as soft, but unfortunately, it's a bit firmer. It still feels nice and squishy in your hand, but she just doesn't enjoy the firmness, which she says makes the pronounced ridge of the head particularly noticeable.

We're considering trying the Doc Johnson Blush UR3 7 Inch Ballsy Dildo, which looks like it might actually be a little softer than the CyberSkin CyberCock, but we're not sure. So if anyone actually has experience with both, we'd love to hear about it. Our other concern, is that it appears to be considerably girthier (thicker) than the CyberCock and Mustang. Not only are we concerned that she wouldn't enjoy that, but also that it would be less enjoyable for me to follow it. My wife enjoys a dildo during foreplay, but eventually she'll want me to take its place. Since my penis is about the same size as the CyberCock and the Mustang, and if the Blush UR3 7 Inch is a lot girthier, we fear that her pussy will following it with my penis may not give the same satisfying snug feeling for either of us.

Any knowledgeable comments would be appreciated.
