I have never had a silicone dildo die yet. Have had some for 10 years or so. If you take care of a quality item, it should last for a long time.

Exactly. That's the bonus of buying high quality, silicone toys. They cost a bit more initially (but still they can be VERY reasonable) but they last almost forever!
