I was talking to my mom today and asked her if she has ever tried a glass dildo. She was like no. She said it in an odd way which I asked her why she said it so odd. She said she had never heard of a glass dildo. I told her about mine and how awesome it is. That it is double ended and the size on each end is different. She loved that idea. I am thinking of getting her the Amazing Swirls glass dildo. Which is the one I have and love it.

Should I just get her that one since I know it is good choice for a first glass dildo? Well, there's TONS of choice in affordable glass out there. I have the Amazing Swirls myself and I love it, but I also have other pieces that I love too (maybe even more). One option would be to look through similar glass pieces in the same price range and throw together a comparison and email it to her, and have her pick one from the selection.

Personally, I'd get my mom a different (if similar) piece. That's totally a personal comfort thing, though. I just know that if I got my mom the same one, I'd probably end up thinking about her every time I grabbed it to use it, and therefore would never end up using it again, haha. Ew. Since there are so many choices out there, I'd probably get a different model because it'd be no hassle AND it'd put some mental distance between mom-topics and sexy-topics.

If that's not an issue for you, then I suppose there's no harm in getting the same one. Don't feel tied down to recommending the only one you've personally tried, though. Reviews are brilliantly helpful

I would ask her some more personal question like how she feels about texture and if she prefers a straight toy or one with a g-spot tip. This would help you to decide what you get her, if you don't get her the Amazing Swirls. The Icicles line has some pretty interesting and beautiful pieces, so you should check those out if you're considering other options.
Personally, I wouldn't have comfort issues with my mom using the same toy that I use.

I'd probably get a different one and make it one that idk, you know, reflected what seemed like her taste or whatever. I think it would probably weird my mom out if I told her I got her the same toy I was using.

Thanks everyone for your input. I sent her a comparison chart and included the Amazing Swirls glass dildo. I let her know that is the one I have. I figured I would let her decide if she wanted the one I have or a different one.

I think sending her a comparison was the perfect way to go! Everyone is built differently (even in the same family) and has different preferences. This way if she doesn't end up liking the toy, it won't be your fault because she'll be the one that picked it out! lol

Yeah--- getting the same gift isn't a bad thing, if you want to be sure they'll have a good time with it/ it is a generally favored item by many

I'd get a different one. Or at the very least the same one in a different color if that was an option. I'm not sure why though honestly. I have no logical reason. I just know I'd find it a little weird from that point onward to use that toy.
