is sex that much better with lube, or do you find that it is unneeded?
in my personal experience, it is better. it more than halved my orgasm time, and gave me better and more reliable orgasms. However, it is important to find something for you, and preferably not petrolatum based (high risk infection, allergies, and other irritants -- Ex: mineral oil, petroleum jelly, glycerin - unless specified as vegetable based).
Some great, clean, and affordable brands that also have variety are "Please", "Sliquid," and "Gun Oil." There are others, but these are the best i've found so far, ordered by price. Keep in mind, 8oz is a full cup, and a single ounce should last for more than one love making, unless you're really going for it! XD
Honestly, a good lube lasts, feels at least close to natural, can be used as often as needed, and shouldn't need constant reapplication or a "boost" of water to reslic it up. While Gun Oil is pretty straight forward, it literally is military grade*. These are awesome brands that have organic, water-based, hybrid (water and silicone base), silicone, vegetable based, flavored, minute amount silicone, and all are non-sugar, non-glycerin or other petrols, unscented, and have lower chances of allergies.
As for Gun Oil (True Story): Soldiers would use their "Gun Oil", which actually had no "oil" in it, to masterbate in order to releive stress on the battlefield. They found that it felt great and lasted well with only a little used. A higher ranking member of the military back home got the idea to make this a thing, and now it's a famous sex lubricant.
Another fact: Silicone can withstand temperatures from about -26 to +460 F. it kept guns working smoothly, and coolly, but kept them from jamming up (potentially hazardous for multiple reasons) in the cold and when wet with water bases, since it can still work despite contact with water.
i was born short-winded, so my hands learned to make up for it when sharing information.
Edit:
Oh my word. O.O i just read everyone else's comments, and i was expecting some new, great lube mentions, and now i feel like the lube queen! it is a good thing i am comfortable talking about this, because i've heavily researched it. i've essentially mentioned the sum of my research, but i could list other if you have a bigger wallet than me, such as "Pur", "Essential", and i could get my list out. o.O
i medically have pain, lube issues (varies: sometimes soaked, sometimes Sahara), and allergies, as well as other problems, so i guess it just became a "thing" for me to have to learn. i never get on any site too much, but i can expound, if no one else does (on advise).
i sure wish their medical dilator set was cheaper. it's the perfect example of things that go well with lubes for people with problems!
