Ok.
Here's the honest to goodness scoop on it.
Glass and steel are almost identical to the other. The only really big differences are;
stainless steel is heavier
and glass is cheaper
steel takes a moment or two longer to warm to body temps
glass is a heck of a lot cheaper
What I would strongly suggest is find the steel you are looking at, then find a glass toy that is the shape you are looking at, and buy that one first. See how it works with your body. And go from there.

I like stainless steel. It can't break like glass can. Only downside is if you're not careful, it can get scratched up or pitted if you accidentally use a product with bleach on it.

I agree with what woman China said. But I liked the serenity so much I decided I don't really need the pure wand. I think for didos or probes I would choose glass. But when I bought an anal plug I went with steel because it seems safer to me. The glass neck and sitting didn't sound good to me. I'm sure it is safe, but for me I feel more comfortable mentaly with steel.

Stainless steel is heavier, has a higher specific heat (holds the heat/cool better), and conducts electricity if you're into that. Glass is very similar, but can be made in more colors. If thermal or electrical play isn't that beig a deal for you go with whatever you like - they're both very durable.
