Well, you have two different types of rings here. The Tantus beginner would be my first choice out of the first two. Although, since it's silicone it will not stretch much so size is an important consideration. The Pipedream rubber rings will stretch more but since the're thin they may not be as comfortable. Plus they may tend to grab hair, ouch!

The Tor is TPR so it will stretch more and be more comfy. You get the added benefit of a vibe for you so that is a plus.

I would go with the Tor.

Before actually placing the order, measure him. That will help to save you money by getting the right fit from the beginning. The Tantus silicone cock ring is called beginner because of the large size to ease putting it on. But if it is too loose it won't do the work that a proper fit one will.

I agree to measure before placing an order. And for a first time user, it would be easier to get a ring that just goes around the shaft, and not around both the shaft and balls. Easier to get on, and easier to get off, especially in case of an emergency.

I made the mistake of purchasing one before measuring myself. I used the "eh, it looks fairly close to my size" assumption and it ended up being too small.

Live and learn.

Cock rings are not a 'one size fits all' game. Best to measure twice so you only have to buy once.

I was looking for a cock ring for a while for myself. I even went to a local sex store to check them out, I broke one right at the store. But whatever, when I bought one I got it one size too small..it was 1 3/4" in diameter I got it in and I thought that my dick will explode. I agree on measuring and would also suggest starting with a less expensive ring. The Tor we have in our toy box doesn't see as much use as the others. We are not big into vibrating rings so the simple rings bear more attraction for us.

Thanks everyone. I got a snap cock ring in a spartacus kit I reviewed that had a whip and blindfold in it so that was our first true c-ring, but I still plan on getting one of these eventually.

The beginner ring by Tantus is great but I'd go with the Pipedream kit as you can use two or three at a time for different things (base, shaft, balls).
