I think it depends...while some say the Fairy is a little bit more powerful than the Hitachi and has a scroll wheel for more accurate speed selection, the Hitachi is less buzzy and has only two speeds.

Honestly, if you're happy with the Fairy, then you might not need both. If you want the power and less buzzy, then go for it. If you just really want to own the Hitach, then again, go for it.

I love my Fairy and don't think that I can find another that will compare to it.

Depends my cousin says that my Fair is a little less powerful then her Hitachi, I don't know the difference since she felt the power of my Fairy before I used it. I don't touch people's toys that isn't my thing so I haven't asked to do a comparison. I did get the Couture Inspire in pink since the Fairy Rechargeable doesn't have attachments. My cousin felt the vibrations off of the Couture an said they are almost the same as Hitachi. I have no desire to own the Hitachi since it only has 2 speeds

I'm told the Fairy is best.
