First time user asking for help

Okay so I am new to sex toys. I just purchased 2 new toys, Jenna’s Velvet Royal Jewels and the Emerald Studs Arouser. And I am a virgin as well. When I tried these 2 toys I couldn’t seem to get it all in (if you know what I am talking about). And when I do get some in I feel some stretching feeling going on and I start have pain from the stretching feeling. Do you think is cause I am really tight? Or maybe I am suppose to put it in a certain way? Sorry if I am not making myself clear enough, I just don't know how to really type it down and I am in a little bit of pain from trying to use these toys.

Constructive discussions on First Time:

What was your first time like?
When I lost my virginity, it was the worst situation ever. It hurt so incredibly bad, I cried for twenty-minutes. I was on the world's squeakiest bed.

First Time You Squirted
The first time I squirted was the first time I had a g-spot orgasm. I was shocked that it happened, and at first I thought I peed myself. It kind of..

First time writing a review
Ok so I did my first review on the classic bender. I had thought I had done really bad when I saw the polls come in. I had worked really hard on it...

First time...
Whats a good first timer masturbator?

Was your first time with a partner of the same sex?
Mine was, and I don't regret one moment of it. It may have been awkward and unsure but it was beautiful none the less

It could be because your vagina is not used to having anything in it, yes.

Because you are a virgin, you may also have an intact hymen (skin which partially and sometimes completely covers the opening of the vagina). Sex, toys and even other activities like using tampons or even riding a bike cause the hymen to break. If you're familiar with the term "popping the cherry" in reference to having sex the first time, they're talking about the hymen. If you continue, you may break your hymen and experience some pain and bleeding but that is absolutely normal.

What will make this easier for you is if you use lubrication. I recommend ID Glide, a water based lubricant which is safe for all toys but you can check out EF's lubricant section by following this link

Also, if you're having difficulties, by all means trying inserting in different ways and you might also try being in different positions - lying down, standing, sitting, squatting, etc.

It also helps to be relaxed and aroused.

Good luck!

I had pain when I was a virgin and started using toys as well. The best thing you can do is start with something small -- I used the tiny "My Secret" vibe first. Then build up to bigger things. Unless you really want to skip ahead and get bigger things to "fit," but that might be painful.

I just looked up both the toys you got and they are quite large if you have never experienced penetration. I've been using toys for quite a while now and can barely handle 1 1/2" diameter (which is what the Arouser is). I would really suggest a smaller toy, 1" in diameter or under.

Aww man! And I was about to return my toys back but I can't since I already used them =( chucks! Oh well I will just have them there and wait for my next pay check (since I have to do xmas shopping for 3 friends, my dad and sister) to get another smaller size toy. Meanwhile I will just do some research for my next toy. Thank you Adriana Ravenlust and Epiphora for the helpful response and tips =D.

I agree with the above comments. Definitely get yourself some water-based lube, it'll help. Once you order your new smaller toys just play around and have fun with them, it might take a bit to find what you like the best and what works for you. Good luck and have fun!

That's okay that you can't return them... you can use them in the future! Just not know. I know exactly the kind of pain you're talking about though, and it will pass. Keep trying, and yes, use lube lube lube!

Part of what will help with that is getting yourself completely warmed up first. Lube helps with insertion as well. I would invest in something to vibrate against your clitoris and definitely take time. By this I mean slowly touching yourself as you would with standard masturbation until you feel fully aroused. Trying to insert a toy as a virgin without enough arousal can be quite uncomfortable. Also, chose something small and work your way up. You may want to also pick something smooth without a lot of lumps and shape for initial insertion. Another suggestion - BREATHE. Take long slow breaths and make sure the rest of your body is comfortable. Take it slow and try to stay relaxed. Just like with sex, your body will become more comfortable with it over time and you'll figure out your hot spots and how to pleasure yourself with toys. Good luck and welcome to the world of adult toys!
