How many toys have you lost because they "died"?

Contributor: DreamWolf DreamWolf
Like a vibe's motor dying, wires breaking, any experiences like that?

And how long did they last, and why did they die in your opinion, and any specific vibes you wanna mention here?

In my experience, the motor always gives out eventually.

So far I've only had one toy die on me, and it was the Rabbit Habit. It lasted about 3 months before it broke. The motor still worked (bunny vibrated), but the beads and shaft stopped spinning - just made an awful noise. You can read more about it here if you are curious.

I think I've had only one or two actually break on me. I've thrown others out because they were either cheaply made or smelled so badly that it transferred to the rest of my toybox. Otherwise, my collection is still pretty intact for the time being.

I think I've only had 2, which is pretty good. One got water in it, one just burnt out.

Only one! And it was under warranty and was replaced.

I have been lucky and only had about two so far that died on me and both were just cheap.

I had that broke -- the motor died. But, it was a really cheap vibe (like, under $15), and it got a LOT of use.

My very first Wild G rabbit vibe broke within the 60 day period that Eden allows. The rotating motor died, and the vibrating rabbit half died. Eden replaced it no problem. And then my Lelo Ina's clit arm stopped working right too. That was within Lelo's 1 year warranty period, and they also replaced it with absolutely no problem.

I haven't had another die since! (But I know that anything with a motor will eventually.)

Yes. I hate it! I've had about 3 do that. It's so disappointing!

I've only had a few. One died when it fell off of the top of my loft bed and the motor got knocked loose. And all the rest were just dead one day when I went to use them.

I've lost many of them over the years. Particularly when they are attached by a cord to a control pack - that seems to be the weakest type of design.

Surprisingly very few! I think only 2-3 have actually died due to mechanical malfunction.

How many times I was wondering if I could just grab a working control pack and a working vibe and just fix em together...
(No such problems yet, but better to get ready for the worst... ~grins)

Only one so far, it was a cheap bullet vibe from a local store back in the small town I used to live in and I'm pretty sure the wire is the reason it died because for a while if I had the wire just right it would start to work again.
