Packaging: annoying?

Personally, tacky for-pleasure packaging on my toys is extremely irritating and not at all discreet. what about you guys?

It depends...if it's just words that doesn't bother me. But, I hate the toys that have overly naked women on the front opening their mouths like they are having an orgasm. Drives me nuts lol

If it isn't suitable for gifting or storing I just toss it anyway. I don't really care what's on it.

What I don't like is some of the really thin plastic that's used on clamshell cases or those flimsy clear boxes. Sometimes I've actually gotten somewhat of a paper cut from handling those - it's really painful!

I really don't care because I don't usually keep the packaging.

I hate the tacky plastic packaging that looks super cheep, it just makes the toys seem cheep, I'd much rather a classy cardboard box or something

I understand that most packaging is designed to attract customers while hanging on a peg in a brick and mortar store. Most of the time I toss the packaging so it does not bother me.

The good thing is that most of the higher end companies use tasteful packaging, we can only hope that others will follow suit.

My opinion probably doesn't matter, but I don't have children so the marketing on the package has never bothered me. And I agree with Triple T's line of thinking - it's meant to be hanging on pegs in stores. If the carnal switch gets flipped while you're standing in the store with the product in your hands, the marketing team has done their job well.

I don't like packaging which is overly bulky, nor which features a half-naked photograph of some heterosexual couple canoodling.

Small and tasteful is the way to go.

In a brick in mortar store, I'd shy away from products with pictures like that. It's just a turn off.

I only care about what's inside the package.

Oh my gosh, I love tacky toy packaging! It gets so funny! I usually keep it for giggles, but honestly, I'd also adore having packaging I can USE as to stuff that sits around and gets dust.

If it is a plastic packaging it usually gets tossed because there is no purpose to have it around the house.

I find tacky things pointless and I usually walk away from them in a store or even online. I know there are times when I see the package for a dildo or something and it's just so wrong that I refuse to buy the toy on principle.

But then again, I am a snob.
