I wake up early... so before everything opens, I read a lot of newspapers and studies.

This came across my screen: Sex toys world favourite gadget global sales soar...

From the article.... Smartphones have long been a must-have accessory, but sex toys are quickly becoming one of the world's most popular gadgets.
Experts believe the willingness of stars such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Jane Fonda to divulge their bedroom secrets are behind a recent surge in the sales of 'pleasure goods'.

While the UK sex toy business is now worth £250 million a year, global sales of erotic accessories are to set to rise to 400 million.

That's a pretty cool article, thanks for sharing with us. Too bad that British show isn't available here, seems like a very interesting show to watch. I've been tuning in to the 'Amanda de Cadenet' show, but have never really paid attention to what they're talking about, because that's the time of the night when I'm busy brushing my poodle's teeth; I should pay more attention to the show from now on so I won't miss out on all the girly stuff they're talking about.

Although toys are getting popular, my friends still aren't very comfortable discussing them (even with the one who's bought toys here through my referral).

Growth of something positive for once! I'd have thought the global market was more than 400 million but I suppose if porn is excluded, that may be accurate.

LOL!!! I had to laugh, the other day at work I was talking to a couple of students who wanted to start a business and were asking me for suggestions on what kind of business to open in China.

My reply?

"A sex shop where women and men can come in for seminars about sex, how to improve their sex life, where they can buy safe sex toys, and be sure to have it set up so people can ask questions anonymously on the internet, as well as a newsletter with sex positive information."

Not only were they shocked that would be my answer, but they were keen on it too.

There is a huge market here in China for a shop like that.
