Boiling silicone

Contributor: mistressg mistressg
I know that silicone can be boiled to be disinfected, and I have thought about it but do not currently have the means to do so. I'm wondering, how many of you boil your silicone toys? The ones you boil, do you use those alone, or with a partner?

Oh, and, if you boil your toys, do you have a designated sex toy pot or something?

I boil mine from time to time and have not had any issues. I only use the toys on myself and don't have a special pot...LOL!

Interesting. I was thinking if I started doing it, I would probably get a pan just for my toys.

Do you use a bleach solution when you clean them, or just water? What else do you do with the pan?

I boil mine every time I can. I use them just on myself, but I use them vaginally and anally. I'm pretty diligent about cleaning. I use toy cleaner and water with a soft tooth brush (for ridges under the head), and then boil. I recently stole a HUGE pot from my mom. Okay, I didn't steal it; I borrowed it forever. lol I don't know if it's ever going to be used for anything other than toy boiling, because we never cook that big of quantities. This thing is big enough for the Anaconda to lay completely flat at the bottom. LOVE IT!
