After wishlisting the Vr8 for the first time... oh, seven months ago (and then realizing it was on every toy-including wishlist I had), and finally ordering it, it is sitting in my lap! But how am I ever supposed to wait these last three hours for its initial charge?

How do you cope with the "so close yet so far away!" initial charge of your brand new vibrator?

I'm surprisingly patient when it comes to my toys charging. I guess, as eager as I am to play with it, just the fact that it's finally mine and I've got lots of time to use it helps to alleviate any antsy feelings. Plus I have other toys to play with if I really need to, and am generally good at keeping myself occupied.

I turn into a child during initial charge time, and I'm normally such a patient person (I teach. ALL THE PATIENCE).

When I got my Uma, I watched it charge for probably the first 15 minutes. Just stared at the blinking light, trying to convince myself to go do something else for the remaining 105 minutes. (104 minutes... 103 minutes...)

When I got my Salsa, I had to get to a meeting after plugging it in. It needed 90 minutes and I was going to be gone for three hours. Still, I kept checking my watch: Is it done yet? Is it done yet? Like it would matter...?

A child, I tell you. A child.

I hope your Vr8 is worth the wait!

I take such things easy (yeah, of course am DYING to try my new toy as soon as possible, but I barely rush to do so the same day... ) - I have all the rechargeable toys I want all ready to be used, but I just pretty much hang out, do whatever fits my mood - and when it is charged then I will enjoy it as soon as the occasion comes... ^^

I always 'cheat!' That means that I charge it for about 30 minutes and turn it on for a second to see what it's like even though I'm not supposed to. Then I plug it back in.

Ohhhh... I am terrible.

I firmly beleive that rechargeable toys NEED TO COME to us with about a little bit of juice in them so we can drop our things by the door, strip, wash the toy and get to work. THEN wash again, and then initial recharge.

I have been waiting on the Ran since they first were introduced, and then they were out of stock when I could afford it. Then when I finally ordered, I had to wait almost three weeks for it. It arrived in the morning on my way into work. THAT sucked. All day long while teaching all I could do was think about what it would feel like, how strong it would be, the disco ball effect in a darkened room. Then my mind trailed off to... that initial recharge.

Got home. Opened the box. SCREAMED!!!!

In excitment. It was fully charged!!!!

I am usually more interested in the shape of phallic toys and anal toys than the vibes. The vibes are great, but you can get an idea of what it will be like before it's charged.
