Pirates by Digital Playground - review by MiniTs

Pirates are certainly very popular these days and this movie takes the current cultural zeal for pirates to the X-Rated level. This movie has some great sets, scenery and costumes and there are a few really stand out sex scenes plus it is a ton of fun, but in terms of a movie that will really turn you on or that will really get you and a partner excited this might not be it.

This movie really works hard to be a porno with a plot, which I tend to enjoy, but somehow it falls a little bit short. The plot is loosely structured around a pirate hunter on a quest to get some pirates and a band of evil pirates on a quest for a scepter with mystical powers. Over the course of the action several sexual combinations occur including various guy/girl, girl/girl and guy/girl/girl. In terms of sexual combinations there is certainly something to satisfy every viewer. If you prefer not to wade through the plot the DVD menu offers a handy feature which allows you to skip directly to the sex scenes.

The real stand-out sex scenes in the movie are the girl on girl scenes. Janine and Jesse Jane have an amazing scene together that contains a DP with lit candles. Teagan, Devon, and Carmen all have terrific scenes as well. It’s always nice to see a little bit of variety in actresses and this film offers blondes, brunettes and a variety of body types. While most of the women are typical blondes with large implants, it is nice to see some actresses with smaller boobs and with natural boobs. Janine looks terrific and has a scene with her male co-star. It’s still interesting to see Janine doing scenes with men after her only doing scenes with women for so long.

I can’t talk about this movie without mentioning Evan Stone. This man is the William Shatner of the porn world. If you want to watch an adult film with acting you have to seek out Evan Stone. I can never tell if his acting is really that bad or if he’s a genius.

This movie surely deserves all of the awards it won for cinematography. Ultimately, this movie is more of a fun watch then it is a great porn. If you are looking for something amusing with some good sex scenes then this is for you, but if you are looking for something really steamy and sex filled you will be disappointed.
