The Tom Putt Butt Plug by Happy Valley is a basic silicone anal plug. Its basic shape should be familiar to most users of anal plugs, however there are some differences. This toy is of intermediate size and is good for intermediate or beginning users. It may be too small for advanced or even experienced intermediate users to find satisfying. This will vary between individuals.

The base is nicely flared and it will not get lost. However, the base is not the most comfortable when placed between the cheeks while walking. This toy can be worn during sexual situations, when doing household tasks, or (if you're really bold) when out and about.

The Tom Putt is silicone and therefore has no noticeable taste or smell. It is body safe and nonporous. It has a slightly matte finish but this is good as it allows more lube to cling to the surface before insertion. There are slight ridges on the surface that cannot really be felt when fully inserted. The material has a moderate amount of give and pliability and is therefore good for both beginners and advanced users.

The shape of the Tom Putt butt plug itself is comfortable. However, the base does not sit naturally between the cheeks. After only a short while, this can cause discomfort. If the base were slightly narrower but equally as long, I believe it would be much more comfortable.

As for size, the plug is 1.25" in diameter and has 3.75" insertable length. This size is good for beginners or early intermediate users. But this size would likely not be enough for most advanced or even experienced intermediate users.

This plug is fairly discreet when worn. However, it is obvious as what it is when not in use. Therefore I do not recommend it for travel. Additionally, airport security body scanners plus anal plugs just seems like a recipe for being strip searched. So, if you don't want that in your day, don't travel with this plug inserted.

The insertable part of this toy has a comfortable shape for wearing for long periods. It is also relatively filling for beginning or intermediate users. Silicone warms up to body temperature quickly. You can also soak this toy in warm or hot water prior to use to warm it up and make insertion more comfortable.

On the negative side, the base is too wide to sit comfortably between the cheeks. If it were slightly narrower but still just as long, it would be much more comfortable. This hinders how wearable it is and prevents comfortably wearing it for long or extended periods when moving about.

Additionally, it is possible for this toy to, on occasion, slip out as there is not much of a discrepancy between the bulb and the neck.

Silicone is one of my favorite toy materials. This is because of how easy it is to clean and care for. To wash a silicone toy, simply wipe it down with toy cleaner or wash it with antibacterial soap and water. To sterilize a silicone toy such as this one, simply place it in the top rack of the dishwasher, wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution, or boil it for five minutes.

One of the disadvantages of a silicone toy is that it attracts lint easily. However, the Tom Putt is small enough to fit into a standard zip plastic baggie. This makes for quick, easy, and convenient storage.

As for lubricants, this toy is compatible with water based and oil based lubricants. However it is NOT compatible with silicone based lubricants. These may ruin the integrity of your plug or even dissolve it. No one wants that, right? So do yourself a favor and stick to oil or water based lubricants.

This toy essentially comes in a plastic baggie with a cardboard piece at the top identifying the product. The packaging is, to be blunt, rather cheap. This is not a good storage or gift box.
