The Sasha Grey Signature Plug, in the small size, by Doc Johnson is a very nice anal toy. This is part of a line of Sasha Grey toys which also includes both a medium and large sized plug. It is made of perfectly smooth black glass, so it is easy to insert and is very beautiful to look at. In my opinion, it is designed for those who enjoy simplicity in their anal toys. I think the size will work well for those who have at least some general anal experience and who have had experience with firmer materials. When coupled with a smaller vaginal toy, this plug also works well for double penetration.

Glass is safe for everyone because it is phthalates free, hypoallergenic, and rates a 10 on the Eden safety scale. You can be assured that you are inserting high quality material into your ass. As with most safe sex toy materials, there is no smell or taste. However the foam that this one comes in does have a bit of a smell, so as I always do, I washed this one before the first use.

The smoothness and firmness of glass makes insertion easy with a small amount of lube. There is no drag and this makes things more pleasurable. I like that I can use any lube I want with glass, and when it comes to anal play I do like to use silicone lube when I have it around. I really enjoy how anal toys feel when they slide in nicely and find the right spots.

Glass is firm and feels bigger than the actual measurements because there is no give. This size isn't anything very large, so it should work for most users. If you have some doubts about this one being too firm and feeling a little big, then I suggest some warm up.

The Sasha Grey Signature Plug is similar in design to other anal plugs. It has a bulb that makes up the top of the shaft which is larger than the neck of the toy. I am pretty sure that a beginner could use this after some warm up, just not as the first toy they plan on using. I like the feeling of the bulb sliding in when I insert it. The other 2 inches of insertable length of the toy make up the neck, it seems to be a little less than an inch in diameter and it gives my anal muscles a bit of a break from the larger bulb. The decrease in size from bulb to neck also allows the plug to stay in better than it would if the toy was the same diameter throughout. The base on this one is about 1.5 inches, which makes it safe so that it will not disappear and cause a trip to the ER.

If this plug had more color and some type of pattern, then I think I could get away with saying it is a paper weight. However, something about the dark glass gives it more of an "erotic" look and I think that makes it less discreet. That's just me though, other people might have some more creative excuses for this one.

Because this one did not come with a storage bag, I would suggest putting it some where that it can be cushioned if you are planning to travel with it.

This was my first glass plug and I am happy with it. I have used glass toys for anal play in the past, but they were for slow thrusting. As I mentioned, this one was easy for me to insert and was pretty comfortable when inside of me. I found that it worked best if I used it while laying down. It allows me to feel slightly full while I use my hands or another toy for clitoral stimulation. I clean this plug with anti bacterial soap and water and toy cleaner. When I want to sterilize it I can boil it, but it also can be sterilized by wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution.

I like the protection that is provided by the foam in the package, however it is kind of a pain to keep taking it in and out of there when I want to use it. So instead of keeping it in the box, I keep it in my drawer surrounded by clothes.

The Sasha Grey Signature plug comes packaged in a black cardboard box. There are pictures of the toy and Sasha Grey on the front and sides. The back has some information about the toy. Because of the pictures and information, I would say this one is not very discreet. Inside of the box, the plug sits inside of a large foam insert. It was hard to get the foam out of the box because it is fitted so tightly. I had to open the bottom and push it up through the top for it to come out. I don't use the box for storage because of the amount of effort involved in getting it back out again.

I have not tried a glass anal toy yet for double penetration, but this plug felt like a good size to test this out. I found that it worked really well in conjunction with the pointy/tapered end of Ella. Due to the feeling of fullness from the combination, I barely had to move it to get some really nice g-spot stimulation. I was even surprised that the plug stayed in when I orgasmed using both of these at once! Finding a plug that stays in during orgasm can be a challenge. I also find that it depends on the day and on how strong the orgasm is whether this one stays in perfectly or starts to come out a little.
