L'Amour premium silicone beaded probe - probe discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Kim!

Pardon my French. (For once I am saying it and it isn't following an expletive!) It's been nearly 10 years since I took the language. (For 6 years.) I was trying to say it isn't bad and I think that I succeeded.
The l'amour beaded probe is a rather small toy that can be used anally or vaginally but never anally then vaginally without a good cleaning or condom switch. It has a handle which I found quite comfortable to use but a tad too flexible for my liking, particularly for anal use. When using this anally definitely be sure to have a good grip on it since it could potentially straighten out and disappear. It probably won't but it does definitely easily straightens all of the way out and I can be a wee bit paranoid.
The first beads are quite small, making this great for beginners. Seasoned anal penetratees will find this won't make a bad warm-up but might be rather disappointed in the bead size until the very end, which I avoid using due to the less-than-stellar hook.
As far as vaginal use goes, I wasn't that thrilled with the beginning beads but I can be a bit of a size queen at times. A less accommodating vag may enjoy this more.

This probe is made out of silicone, making it ideal for anal use. It cleans and sterilizes quite nicely and is non-porous and not filled with evil phthalates. (Those things apparently might contribute to obesity. Having my sex toys expand my gut is pretty high on the list of last things that I want.) This also means that it's pretty odorless and tasteless. Not tasteless as in poor taste, although giving this to some family members might be rather tasteless. I mean tasteless as in when you touch your tongue to it (Before lubing it up or putting it in your butt, not after.) it has not taste.

It's fairly squishy and quite flexible. In fact, with the small size and flexibility I found inserting the first bead was a bit awkward. Once I got it in everything went smoothly though.

It does have a visible seam on both sides. I can feel it very faintly with my finger so if you are quite sensitive to these sorts of things then this might not be l'amour at first site. (See what I did there?)

Since the largest bead is only about 1 1/4" in width this is suitable for most people. As I mentioned, the much smaller 3/4" bead is almost too small and can be a bit awkward to work with for some people. Aside from those issues this size is workable for most users, beginners won't be that intimidated by it's gentle design and small size and those who are more advanced can use this to warm up a bit.

Travelling with this toy wouldn't be difficult. Anyone seeing it will probably guess what its use but at least it won't start buzzing in your bag. And it's small enough that you should be able to discreetly tuck it away.

I was a bit nervous to use this toy anally and I won't insert the last ball in myself. With a partner I feel more comfortable with their grip since they can get a better angle than I can on the flexible hook. Making that end much firmer would lead to a greater comfort level for solo use.

If the entire thing were made out of a slightly less flexible material or the first bead was just slightly larger I think insertion would go a bit more smoothly.

On a more positive note, I did really enjoy the spacing of the beads. They really emphasized that delightful "popping" sensation that beaded toys give.

You are able to sterilize it with your dishwasher, boiling water, or a mild bleach solution if you would like to share, switch holes, or just make sure that it is extra clean.

For in between sterilizations and uses toy cleaner or soap and water will work wonderfully.

Since this is silicone toy only water-based lubricants are recommended to keep the toy in the best of shape. Keeping it away from jelly toys will prevent toy melting problems as well. I keep mine in a plastic baggie.
