For The Budding Anal Enthusiast

If you are comfortable with "just a finger-width" in your bum, this is a great next step. The comfortable design makes this toy great for longer play, and the shape of the head keeps it in securely. Made from 100% silicone, this toy can even be sterilized and shared with your partner.

If on the other hand nothing has been in your butt before, the bulbous head may be intimidating once you get the package in front of you.

Use

The Ace plug is a somewhat beginner plug which is designed to be inserted anally. The bulbous top keeps it in, and the flared base keeps it from going too far in. The base is comfortable and flexible which means it is comfortable for long term wear. I am often exhausted after a good orgasm, and this was comfortable enough to wear while napping. The difference in the size of the head and the neck means it won't fall out during most uses.

Material / Texture

The Ace is 100% silicone. It has no odor out of the packaging, and hasn't picked up any odors either. The silicone is squishy and flexible for comfort, but just stiff enough that insertion isn't really a problem. It has a smooth texture, which makes it great for a beginner, no bumps or ridges while you are learning to relax your back door.

The material (like all my Tantus toys) is a lint magnet. So make sure it is lint free before you start playing.

Design / Shape / Size

The toy is shaped like a flower bud on a short stem. The pointed tip helps direct the toy into a novice backdoor. It then widens smoothly which eases the insertion process. The rounded underside of the bulb is smooth, but changes diameter very quickly. This makes it harder to come out on accident.

The base is flexible and squishy for comfort. It is shaped somewhat like an hourglass to accommodate the but cheeks a little more easily. This helps make it more comfortable and should be ok for long term wear, and it is certainly comfortable for a couple hours of sex and sleeping.

While it says it is designed for a beginner, it was a bit too big for me when I was a complete novice. But if you are relaxed and adventurous, it may be an ok place to start. It is a perfect step for someone who is between complete beginner and not quite ready for the plugs advertised "intermediate".

Performance

The "ace plug small" was the second plug I ever tried. I actually bought it first, and freaked out at the size. As a complete novice the bulbous head was intimidating. But once I'd gotten comfortable with the little flirt I was ready to try again.

In order to get myself relaxed, I sat on the toilet, and slowly but firmly pressed the well lubed head into my butt. I kept accidentally clenching, but eventually I relaxed enough and it popped in. It is very comfortable to wear, though I could definitely feel the neck of the toy keeping me stretched out. You definitely want to use a lube designed for anal play as other lubes will most likely be too thin. Just make sure it is water based.

I wore it during vaginal sex, and it made my partner feel huge. Wearing the plug also pushed his penis right into my g-spot since there was no other room with the plug pushing against the vaginal wall from the other side. We had to be careful though, as it was almost too tight for him.

I rested, then came the removal. I was a bit afraid I wouldn't be able to comfortably pull it out, but I again, went to the bathroom and tried to relax as if I were using the toilet, and it popped back out again. After a few uses I can now relax without such tactics! I'm definitely learning more about my body, which is totally awesome.

Care and Maintenance

The Ace small is really easy to take care of. Most days I just wash with soap and water after use. I let it air dry because it will attract lint from any towel I use on it. But, since it is silicone, the Ace small can also be sterilized by boiling it, or dipping it in a 10% bleach solution. (See the material details page on silicone for more information.) Because it can be sterilized, it is safe to use without a condom or to share it with a partner (as long as it is sterilized before each new person).

I would at least rinse it before every use as well to get any lint off. Lint finds its way onto Tantus silicone and grabs on. I have tried various storage ideas, and none of them are 100% lint free by the time I want to play with my toy again.

Water based lube is recommended with silicone toys. Oil based lubes will not react with the silicone, but could cause latex condoms to fail. So, if you have need of condoms in a place you are using this toy, stick with water based lubes. Do not use silicone based lubes with silicone based toys as it can cause a reaction and degrade the toy material. This mean it may no longer be non-porous and easily sterilized. My go to bum lube is Sliquid Sassy Booty.

Thank's for the review. I have been in the market for one and i have been having trouble finding the right size. The price looks steep and i actually thought it was a kit of 3 before i read the details.
