This toy is designed to be used anally by men. It is shaped specifically to apply light pressure on the prostate while inserted. It could also be used as a starter anal plug for women; however, the perineum nubs might be uncomfortable for a woman while this toy is inserted.

The arms at the base that keep it from being over-inserted or sucked in during anal use are long enough that I have no concerns, but the silicone was a bit more flexible on those parts so didn't have as much confidence as I have had with other such toys.

The toy is made of a firm, smooth silicone. It has some give but for the most part is reasonably firm. As the toy is silicone, it is an excellent material for anal play/use.

The toy has texture on the perineum part of the T-shaped base, that provides a mild sensation. The part that had me more worried when I initially saw the toy/got it was the ribs at the base of the inserted portion of the toy, as these sit right where my sphincter grasps the toy while inserted. I was worried this was going to be uncomfortable... My experience has been that it is not an issue; however, if I was using the toy for extended use... reapplication of lube would be necessary, or I could see removing due to these ribs could be less than pleasant, but that would be the case for any anal toy honestly.

The toy is small in size, smooth for the inserted part aside from the ribs at the base. It also has nubs that rest against the perineum when inserted. It is a great starter prostate massager due to its petite size. I found it is just big enough to provide some prostate sensation when inserted, which I was worried about initially.

Below is a pictured side by side w/ 2 other prostate massagers I have reviewed. On the far left is the Contour Prostate Massager, which is closest to the same price range as the P-trainer, on the far right, in terms of cost that I own. For the money, the P-trainer is a better buy/value at this price point. As the P-trainer is made of silicone, it is both safer to use and isn't as rigid when inserted, which for the contour was a significant issue for me using it. In the middle is the Aneros Vice, which is a bit larger and made of silicone as well. The Vice, when used without the provided vibrator insert, is the closest I have for comparison of the same materials... The Vice definitely provides a firmer sensation against the prostate, and I prefer the smoothness of the Vice for the entirety of the inserted section. The P-trainer's ribs at the base where it's inserted aren't overly noticeable but not as enjoyable as a toy without them.



I do really think if you are curious about prostate play this is a great starter as it's made out of quality materials, not too intimidating when you're starting out, and enjoyable to use.

I was surprised at how well the toy worked considering its small size. It provided just a slight pressure on the prostate that was just enough to yield good end results. I still wish the ribbed bit at the base wasn't there but otherwise great toy.

The toy is made entirely of silicone, which makes it very easy to care for and store. I found the hardest part about this toy to clean is the little ridges at the base as these can require a bit of focused attention to make sure any lube or other material is cleaned out after use before storing.

The only slight trouble is that silicone gathers dust so you'll want to fully clean the toy before using, which is a good idea. Additionally, you can't store it with other silicone toys as they'll interact and it'll damage the material for both toys.
