The PicoBong Tano is a vibrating butt plug with a velvety soft silicone exterior. It has a hard plastic base with a finger hole.

The smooth silicone top is tapered for easy insertion and the finger hole in the base ensures it can be gripped easily (this is especially handy when lube is involved). The shape is also beneficial for keeping the butt plug in place and can even be worn when out and about.

The Tano is very quiet with a several vibration settings. It is waterproof so can be used in the shower or bath. Suitable for solo or couple use and would be great for beginners.

Unfortunately, there are a couple of design flaws. The vibration controls are on the shaft, which is inserted. This makes it difficult to change settings once inserted; plus it took me quite a while to actually find the controls as they are built into the embossed logo in the silicone. Secondly, there are sharp edges on the plastic base which actually cut me during insertion and removal.

I purchased this primarily for my husband as it was marketed as a prostate massager, but we have actually used this on myself since it really doesn’t seem the right shape to reach the prostate.

The body of the Tano is made of smooth, velvety, silicone and due to the tapered shape very little lube is required for insertion.

The plastic base is a high gloss finish and unfortunately is a little rough around the edges.

There is no odor or taste to this product.

The shape was what initially attracted me to this toy. It is tapered and narrow enough to easily insert. It is quite small and unfortunately since this wasn't my first anal adventure it really is too small for me (although a better size for my husband). However, it would be great for beginners.

The length would not be adequate for prostate stimulation. I suppose it could be inserted vaginally however I purchased this toy for exclusively for anal pleasure.

However, here comes one of the biggest problems, the controls for the vibrations are on the body of the toy. So, once inserted, the vibrations cannot changed without removing the toy. This renders the vibration settings more or less useless since no one is going to insert and remove constantly to change settings.

The other major flaw is in the plastic base. The joins are not smooth and it caused me quite a bit of irritation the first time I used it. I have noticed other reviewers have filed down the edges, which I may do as well. But for now I just use it gently to avoid discomfort. For the price of this toy, having sharp edges really isn't acceptable.

Unfortunately, since the controls are on the inserted part of the toy, this really hinders the performance. The vibrations are adequate for anal stimulation. Once again, this probably makes the toy ideal for beginners.

It runs on a single AA battery and is very quiet when in operation. You can cycle through the vibration settings by pressing the "+" or "-" molded into the side of the toy. It is easy enough to use however I have found it difficult to locate the "+" and "-" symbols when in the dark. This toy would really benefit by a remote control.

This toy is waterproof, so it can easily be cleaned using soap and water or some toy cleaner.

However, here comes another design flaw, the embossed letters on the silicone part "trap" liquids. I don't know what I am doing wrong but every time I clean this toy I end up with dry, crusty bits in the lettering.

I have also noticed build up where the silicone and plastic meet so this may need to cleaned with a small brush or toothbrush.

As this toy is silicone only water and oil based lubes should be used. I store this toy wrapped in cotton.
