This toy is an improvement on traditional anal beads. While the old-school version was plastic or rubber on a nylon string, this new version is a continual piece of high quality medical-grade silicone. This anal toy is meant to be inserted and kept in place until it is slowly drawn out at an opportune moment. Like a plug, it is not intended for thrusting. It differs from a plug because of the variety of sensation you get during the entry and withdrawal process. You also get to decide how many of the beads to insert.

This toy was designed in an exceptionally safe manner. Due to the narrowing between each "bead," you can control how deep it goes. Further, the base flares out and has a ring for retrieval. I did not have any concerns with losing this toy.

Because it can be fully sterilized, it is safe to use it in different orifices as long as you sterilize between uses. It is not intended as a vaginal toy, but does provide interesting sensations when used that way.

The toy is made of a peach-skin textured medical-grade silicone. This type of silicone does not attract lint quite as badly as the slicker varieties. Some folks may wish the toy were smoother. However, since you should be using plenty of water-based lube for anal play, you will not likely find that there is too much friction. The toy is firm but does collapse at the thinner points along the shaft. Like most beads, it is meant to be fed in one at a time, as opposed to pushed in from the handle end. This provides a much more interesting texture than a simple symmetrical pattern. I have the purple, and it is deep shade that is very pleasing. The size is appropriate to give significant variety. Beginners can try just a few beads, while more experienced users will find the larger ones near the handle to be very satisfying. While the toy is non-traditional looking, it is hard to say if it is discreet or not. At this point in time, there are enough similar anal bead designs that it may be readily recognizable.

This toy is simple in design and execution, and does exactly what it needs to do. It doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of many toys. No vibration, no USB charging, it doesn't do your taxes. But what it does, it does well, safely, and in a satisfying manner. The stimulation that it provides is interesting and suited to a variety of bodies.

Because this is medical grade silicone, it is non-porous and it can be fully sterilized. Clean with soap and water, and sterilize with a 10% bleach solution or by boiling in water for 3-5 minutes. I store mine in a plastic bag, but it could also be stored in lint-free fabric. Lint on your toy probably won't kill you, but a simple rinse before using can solve that problem.
