This is a glass butt plug by SSA glass. It is good for intermediate to advanced plug users and those who have previous experience and familiarity using glass. Because it is a plug, it is intended to be inserted and used for long term wear, or worn during intercourse.



Plugs are not made for excessive manipulation, except maybe a little pushing or twisting by your partner. If you are looking for something to thrust with, go with a probe or dildo. They have better shapes for manipulation and give you more to hold on to.

Older reviews of this toy say that the base is too small and not considered safe but at some point the toy was redesigned. I received a redesigned version of this toy with a wider, safer base. I have no concerns with inserting this toy.

Glass is a good material for toys because it is nonporous and can be sterilized and shared with partners. It also retains temperatures so you can put it in cold water or hot water and use it for temperature play.

Glass has a learning curve though and beginners should not use glass, especially anally. It is hard and unyielding and could be painful if you are inexperienced.

This can also be used vaginally but it is likely too short to stimulate the g-spot or do much else for you. The weight of it still feels nice vaginally though.

Glass is great in many ways because it is nonporous and easy to clean and maintain. Many people worry about glass toys breaking inside them but the Pyrex used to make sex toys is extremely strong. However, you should never use a toy that has a chip or crack in it.

Glass does hold temperatures well and can be heated up or cooled off for temperature play. I would recommend using a bowl of hot water or cold water to change the temperature of the toy-- not the oven, microwave, freezer, etc. Avoid switching from hot to cold quickly, as that could stress the glass.

This plug is very smooth with no texture. The finish of mine is perfect and the toy has no bubbles, though that varies in glass toys. Yours could have minor imperfections.

My plug arrived with no odor and no taste to it. Because glass is nonporous, it will never retain any scents, taste, stains or icky bacteria.

It is very hard and has no give to it. To use a glass toy anally (or even vaginally) is quite different than other materials because it will not flex to insert. Your body must be the one to accommodate the toy. For that reason, I think this is best for more experienced users, at least an intermediate user.

This plug is a classic designed plug. I like the shape of the plug. It is tapered for easy insertion and goes into a slight bulge and then a fairly long neck. This plug is not {italic|huge] but it is pretty large! Even after reading the measurements on the product page, I was surprised upon receiving it. There is a big difference between this size plug in silicone or a softer material and this size plug in glass. Because there is no give to glass, it seems even larger.

I warm up with a silicone plug before using this one. It takes a little work for me to use this and even then, I think it is a little too large in circumference/hard for me to use often.

I don't think it would be good for the average user. I would say this plug, the size coupled with the unyielding material, is best suited for intermediate to advanced users.

This plug is not realistic in any way. It does not resemble a penis or any other part of the anatomy. If any one has seen a plug before though, they will know what it is. It is not particularly subtle or discreet.

If it was padded and well-protected, it would be fine for travel.

Previous reviews expressed concern about the base of this plug being too small and possibly getting lost inside you but I believe I received one of the redesigned plugs because mine has a larger base than the one in he product photo.

The best part of this toy is definitely the material. Glass is luxurious and I love that it is nonporous and so easy to clean and maintain. You can also do temperature play and sterilize it fully for sharing it with partners.

I also love the weight of glass. It gives you a heavy, full sensation that cannot be duplicated with softer materials.

However, even though I love the weight and fullness of this plug, it is a little too big for me at this time. Hopefully it is something I can work toward though.

Here it is next to the Luxotiq butt plug. Even though the Luxotiq plug is 3/4" taller, it is also 3/4" smaller around, which makes it easier for me to take.

Glass is a dream to care for. You can clean it in any way imaginable. Glass can be boiled, thrown in the dishwasher, bleached, washed with soap and water or toy cleaner or basically anything else you can come up with.

It has no drag, so it doesn't collect a lot of lint or hair. Glass also requires less lube to grease up, though you do not want to skimp on lube for an anal toy. It is compatible with all types of lube- water, oil, or silicone-based.

Mine came with a small velvet drawstring bag and that is what I store it in. It cushions it from minor bumps but it is not padded. If you are planning on more wear and tear, you might want to invest in a padded bag to store it in.
