For a beginner I thought this toy was amazing. It made me, as a hesitant straight male, want to explore anal play at a higher level. The only drawback to this toy is that it has to be wrapped in a condom to keep anything from getting into the head.

Pros
Small for beginners, great shape for hitting the prostate, strong vibrations.
Cons
It would be nice if it were a single piece or at least waterproof at the head.
I have used this massager for both the intended purpose and to stimulate my wife's clitoris. The vibrations were more than I had expected from this little toy. The massager is made of hard plastic so go slow and use plenty of lube when inserting it anally. It is thin and smooth, which I think makes it perfect for the anal beginner.
This massager is made of a hard plastic. It had no smell when I took it out of the package. It is very smooth and gets quite slippery with a little bit of lube.
I did like the shape and size of this toy for my first anal experience. I think it would be less pleasing for a more experienced person but perfect for a beginner. It is waterproof which makes cleaning it quite easy. It does have one issue that I didn't like. It is not a solid piece and it appears that the head could come off, although I tugged quite hard on it and was not able to remove it. It will also fill up with water when cleaning, and if used as intended will get a little excrement in the head also. I highly suggest wrapping this in a condom before use. One other draw back is that it has nothing to stop it from entering you completely if you try to push it in too far. It is fairly long so this shouldn't be a problem but is still worth considering. It would travel well as it is not a large toy.
As far as performance is concerned, it did make me want to explore anal play more (even though I was quite hesitant at first). The shape felt wonderful and the vibrations were powerful. I think this is the perfect toy for a beginner.
Again I highly suggest using a condom with this toy. There is no way to clean out the head of this toy once something gets in there. It is compatible with both water and silicone based lubes. I found that I liked the silicone based lube the best with this toy.
The packaging was what you would expect from a $20 toy. Not much there and it is pretty self explanatory, so I guess I don't see the need to go into detailed instructions.

Great first review! I have to say I am perplexed about these kinds of toys, because over in my little corner of Eden we don't put things this small in the back door! At least it isn't recommended. I'm confused as to why these ones don't have flared bases!
Anyways, great job and welcome!

Thank you for your comments. I was a little worried about the lack of a flared base also.

Welcome to EF, nice first review.
Probes like this are not meant for trusting but rather the are meant to insert and apply pressure and possibly twist. Since the prostate is only 1-3" inside the anus the risk is lessoned. Thus the lack of a flared base. I have found in my experience that anything over 6" is kind of hard to get all the way in without some effort.
I am happy to hear your first endeavorer to prostate play went well.
