I've found that the best way to use the Radiant Gem is to inset it while laying on my back. Once it is in, it's flexible enough to move around without it becoming uncomfortable. Keep in mind that this is not a butt plug, and so it will not stay put. This toy is suited for anyone that's interested in anal play. I would, however, recommend that first timers stay away for a couple of reasons. First of all, this is very flexible, and because of that it is hard to get it started. If you are new/nervous/super tight, it will be difficult to get it started. Secondly, it is 7" long...which can be a bit intimidating. I would hate for such a good toy to scare of a newbie.

This toy is made of PVC, which is nice because of the various water-based lube choices that can be used with it. The toy has a very flexible feel, though it's made of a stiff material. Everyone of the toys different sized bumps can be felt on insertion and extraction. I was very surprised when I opened the package to find that there was very little odor. Sometimes that smell can be off putting when you are excited to get, and try, a new toy.

The base is big enough that the toy will not get lost. However, it is pliable and can give you a feeling that it might get lost. The 7" length, which I thought would be too long, was not a problem because of how flexible the toy is. It was actually quite comfortable. The toy also has a suction cup type of base, which can allow it to be attached to smooth surfaces (such as a bathroom counter, or a shower wall) to add additional fun. The only issue I had was that the base needs to be a bit farther from the last/largest bump. It was hard for the toy to stay in with the limited room in that area.

In my opinion, the best part of this toy is the size, especially when coupled with the flexibility. It gives great pressure where it counts; I almost came when I put it in for the first time. Due to the flexibility, you can still move around without it "poking around" your insides. The "suction cup" base is a great feature that could hold a bit better. I'm not sure if that was part of the original design or just an added side effect.

I clean my toy with warm soapy water and/or a toy cleaner. After cleaning and drying, I put it back in its original packaging. It is best to use a water-based lubricant with a PVC toy.

Over-sized plastic packaging makes reusing it for storage somewhat of a hassle.
