Icicles No.16 - g-spot rabbit vibrator discontinued by Pipedream - review by Linga

The Icicles no.16 is a stunningly beautiful and amazingly effective vibrator. This was actually my very first rabbit and I was pleasantly surprised to say the least.
I find that it's much better at G-spotting then it was with clit stimulation, mostly because my little bullet wriggles its way out pretty consistently but if I can find a way to keep the noisy little buzzer in his place, The Icicles no.16 would definitely be on my top ten list of toys.

The Icicles no.16 is made from crystal clear, shatter proof, borosilicate glass, that is wrapped lightly in sexy fuchsia swirls. With a safety rating of 10, this toy is latex free, non-porous, phthalates free, hypo-allergenic and is made from food-grade material with an anti-bacterial property. The borosilicate glass in The Icicles no.16 and the rest of The Icicles range is perfectly smooth with absolutely no rough spots and is fantastic for temperature play. A little hot water or a few minutes in a freezer (without the bullet of course) will completely change the sensations this toy gives.
And even though it is shatter proof glass, I would advise against going from hot to cold or vice versa in rapid succession, rapid temperature change can crack even shatter proof glass.

The no.16 does have some texture to it with the raised smooth pink swirls curling around the shaft and although a fairly prominent texture but there isn't so much of it that it's overwhelming. I think unless you absolutely hate textured toys, this one would be great for beginners and advanced alike.

The included bullet and controller is made from a hard, pink, translucent plastic and unfortunately feels a lot cheaper made than The Icicles itself.

The high quality glass of this toy has zero smell or taste and neither does the plastic, at first.
I found that once I turned the bullet on for the first time it had a mild burning smell, which I thought was probably normal at first but use after use it still hasn't gone away and the controller itself has the same smell too.

The design of The Icicles no.16 is unique and definitely one that works exceedingly well. Having said that, the toy does have some typical characteristics of a rabbit and a G-spot toy. The head of the shaft is an oval shaped bulb made from clear glass and tapers down into a slightly thinner, curved shaft wrapped in curls of raised pink thread. At the base of the shaft there is protruding ring that I've nicknamed the "horned halo". The "horned halo" holds the bullet in place, well it's supposed to anyway. After the "bullet hole" there are a couple more pink curls and then a big clear ring for a handle.



The bulbous end of The Icicles no.16 is perfectly formed and slides deliciously against the G-spot when inside. It has enough width not to be pokey as some toys can and it gives a lovely full feeling without being over the top. The raised pink ribbons adorning the shaft of this toy are not only stunning but the feel incredible too and even though there are only a few of them, they really add to the sensation and overall enjoyment of The Icicles no.16.

Ahh, the "horned halo", this part of the toy has its pluses and minuses for me. I found when using it slow, its fantastic but good, hard thrusting isn't a pleasure with the slightly pokey points of the two little horns and not only that but it fails to hold the bullet tight, every time I turned the power up, sadly out came the bullet. The little hand held controller for the bullet is a nice palm size, it's connected via a fairly short cord and a plug very similar to a mini mic jack. The controller is also home to the 3 AAA batteries that power the toy. It has a single "see saw" style button, the bottom half of which is the dedicated on/off and the top cycles through strengths and modes.

Lastly in the overall design of The Icicles no.16 is the big ring style handle, which is perfect for getting a good grip and would be great for thrusting is those little horns didn't poke so damned much.



The size of this toy is a good one, it's not so big that it will be intimidating to most beginners and still has enough size to satisfy most advanced users as well. The fact that The Icicles is glass and does have that large ring to hold the bullet, makes this toy safe for anal. Honestly I think even the most advance anal size queen would have trouble getting this baby "lost".

Travel you say? Well, I'm not sure I would trust any potentially breakable toy in an airline or any form of travel that requires someone else moving your luggage and unfortunately as beautiful and artistic as this toy is, it's still pretty obvious what it's for, so if discreet is what you are looking for then I would steer away from this one.

The Icicles no.16 has 10 functions in total, 3 strengths and 7 different modes.

The vibrations from this toy come completely from the bullet and unfortunately, I couldn't feel them travel at all. The ring around the bullet vibrates a small amount when the bullet is on but around the shaft they are completely lost.

The "seesaw" style button that controls both the on/off and the functions is easily pressed but not by accident. The top level of power in this toy is moderate to high but the noise level certainly matches it. The bullet is fairly loud out of the toy but is magnified when used with the toy, making it even louder. The noise level makes The Icicles no.16 a toy you probably won't want to use if you share your house with anyone.

The Icicles no.16 is glass so use in the bath and shower is fine but I don't recommended it, as dropping this toy when you have slippery, wet hands onto a hard floor will almost certainly cause damage. The bullet and the controller however are NOT waterproof and should never be used with water.

The Majority of this toy is 100% glass so cleaning is a breeze and you have lots of options too. You can boil, bleach, and even put it in the top rack of your dishwasher. Using soap and water, toy cleaner or even anti-bacterial hand wash is perfectly fine too. The only tricky little bit about cleaning The Icicles no.16 is that the pinky threads can need a little more fine tune attention, fluids can get caught around the edges and can require a little extra finger work to get it sparkling clean.
The Controller and bullet are a little pickier when it comes to cleaning because they are not safe with water, so I use a damp cloth with a little toy cleaner on it but you can use some soap or anti-bacterial hand wash again. Be very careful not get ANY water in the controller or the bullet. It will cause damage.

Any lube is safe with The Icicles no.16, I've tried both silicone and water based lubes with lots of success and the although the glass (when warm) can melt the lube and make it slide off, the ridges around the shaft hold onto it and keep you from losing it all.

I'm a big advocate for keeping original boxes to store my toys but I know some people simply do not have room and/or prefer less clunky storage. In such a case I would recommend a padded bag or box, to keep the lovely glass from being scratched by any other toys.

All The Icicles range come in great little boxes with plenty of padding and no.16 is no exception.
The Icicles box is a normal cardboard packaging style box with a magnetic flap at the front that opens to reveal a window almost teasing you with your gorgeous new toy.
The front of the box has an almost life size picture of the toy, the name "Icicles, 10-function glass rabbit" right at the top and of course the brand Pipedream.
The front flap of the box open easily thanks to the cute little slip of satin ribbon that have attached for convenient opening and inside opposite the teaser window, Pipedream has included another gorgeous, glossy close up of the bullet in the vibrator and some info about the toy, the materials and how to clean them. The two sides of The Icicles box is home to a couple more glossy pics of the toy, the back has the repeated info from the front flap and the bottom has contact info for Pipedream and the usual cautions about operating your new toy.



Inside The Icicles no.16 box is a thick foam insert, with cut outs housing your precious piece of glass and a couple of smaller ones for the bullet and controller.
The packaging for this toy is not very discreet but very attractive none the less and would make for pretty decent gift giving (if you don't mind the person seeing what's inside before they open the box) Also for me at least, it's great for storage. I believe if it kept my toy safe being flown halfway around the world then it should be fine in my cupboard or drawer.
