Relax, go downstream and ride the wave

The aneros is not just a toy that you buy but a training device. Some people have success very early but I had to do many practice sessions. Every single one was worth the time.

Use

Before purchasing, I had done a lot of research on the web, especially at Aneros Wiki where I found information about how to use it. At the Aneros Forum, I found out that the helix is considered to be the best beginners Aneros.

How to use:

Theory says: Apply lube, insert, RELAX, enjoy.

So that's the theory. I found out that it makes a big difference what kind of lube you use, in my experience. The more viscous the lube, the better. According to a tip from a user of the forum, I apply vaseline as a primer and additionally apply a viscous lube. But I have to take care that the arm which rests at the perineum is free of lube to keep everything in place.

Inserting is ok but you have to be relaxed, otherwise it will hurt.

Now, Relax. As I understood the use of the aneros, it will not be moved due to Kegel exercises (which apparently will work too) but due to involuntary perineal contractions. The more you relax, the more you can allow these contrations to appear. If everything is done correctly, one contraction will move the tip of the stimulator exactly to your sweetest spot which causes a wave of enjoyment leading to a further contraction. This will move the stimulator to your sweetest spot causing a wave of enjoyment and so on.

Material / Texture

The Aneros is made of hard, inflexible plastic. It feels very smooth and slick and has no seam which makes it comfortable to use and easy to clean after use.

Design / Shape / Size

The aneros has two tabs; one is the p-tab which rests at your perineum and transmits the movements to your prostate and another one just for removal. The insertable part is comparably small and will not cause problems for most men.

Performance

I really like it but I have to be in the right mood and relaxed enough. After a day full of distress and caffeine, the aneros will not work for me. Maybe I will find a routine to relax my whole hip area in a short time.

Care and Maintenance

You don't need much care. I wash it after use with water and a shower gel and dry it with a towel. Afterwards, I put it back in the drawer.

Experience

As written above, relaxation is the key. Relaxation will allow the contractions and waves to happen. You need time and a secure place where you don't have to worry about neighbours and family members.

After a couple of training sessions, I lay on my bed and, feeling the relaxation, the aneros slipped and moved in my bum (it always moves a little bit because of your heartbeat) and hit the point. Indescribable. Wonderful. And according to the Wiki, that is just the beginning. I then became quite loud and that's one of the main reasons why I don't use it very often.
Follow-up commentary
After more than a year possessing the Aneros Helix I still love it.

I started to practice taoist kegel exercises like described here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ylk1beymUVY
These exercises gave me so much more control, strength, and relaxation for my perineal muscles that I gain much more pleasure from practicing with the Aneros. Still relaxation is my main challenge.
I started doing yoga exercises (sun greetings) before an Aneros session, which worked very well.

My experiences are very sensual, yes, but not orgasmic in the traditional sense. You could describe them as an orgasmic meditation or sensual meditation or better energetic sex. They are pleasurable, of course, and very intense.

Overall I would recommend this toy for everyone who is interested in more meditative sexuality. Don't give up quickly.

If you look at the milestones in the Aneros wiki, the milestone "No longer believing that "...this model doesn't fit me..." " is milestone number 18.

Thanks for sharing. Mr Scotch loves his Helix...he has SYN...worked right off for him. But it does take practice for some.

Agree with Trysexual and Edeneve the mentor program is a great program.

Thank you, this is very useful! More about the actual shape or how to store/clean the product would be very useful. However, I like what you did have in here, which was very clear usage, which you do not see in a lot of reviews.
