The glass probe can be used safely either vaginal or anal play. In my opinion, this toy is best suited to anal play, either solo or with a partner. The flared base makes it safe to use anally. Also, while the slim, straight shape may not be the most fulfilling for vaginal penetration, the bumpy design of the probe is excellent for anal use.

Glass toys are very rigid, so this toy is excellent for thrusting -- just be careful when using it with a partner, because it could potentially cause injury if it is used too roughly.

This probe is made of tempered glass, which scores a 10 on Eden's safety scale. It is hypoallergenic, latex and phthalates free. It's also non-porous. Tempered glass is also shatter resistant and designed to withstand changes in temperature safely, making this toy perfect for temperature play. Shatter resistant does not mean the toy cannot break, but if it was dropped onto a hard surface, it would crack into large pieces rather than splintering. So, it's very safe.

This toy is completely smooth and seamless. It requires very little lubricant to make it incredibly slippery to the touch. It's also very firm.

It has no taste or smell to it.

By my measurements, the glass probe is about 8" in total length, with just over 7" being insertable (see my photo)


The first 5.5" of the toy are textured with graduated bumps, going from 3" in circumference at the tip, to about 4" at the widest bump. The toy narrows to 3" before the flared base. Overall, it's slim enough not to be intimidating for beginners, but thick enough to satisfy. The bumpy texture is my favorite feature of this toy, and the reason I decided to pick it up in the first place. It doesn't disappoint! The bumps feel great and are very noticeable whether you're using the toy vaginally or anally.

It is rigid enough to hit the g-spot from the correct angle, as well. The base of the toy is easy to hold, and it makes it great for either solo or partner play. If you are using this toy with lube, just be careful as the surface will become very slippery!

I've used this toy both solo and with a partner, and in both cases, it was easy to use. It was very pleasurable. At 8", there is plenty of length to hold on to, and the base is easy to grip. I can't comment on how well it would work with a harness, but the base has a diameter of 1.75", so it may fit into some harnesses.

The glass probe is great for temperature play - run it under cold or warm water for different sensations! I've found that it takes only a little time to warm up to body temperature from room temperature.

My favorite way to use this toy is with silicone lube - with only a drop or two, the toy is completely slick, smooth and friction-less. It's a very different sensation than I've had with any silicone, rubber, or plastic toy I've used.

Glass is very easy to clean - it can be cleaned with water and antibacterial soap, or any toy cleaner. It can also be used safely with any type of lube - water, oil, or silicone based. This toy can be sterilized, but it's still a good idea to wear to use a condom with any toy you share. Just keep in mind that oil-based lubricants will break down most condoms.

As for storage, I would recommend storing this toy in some kind of protective case to avoid banging it against anything that may cause it to crack. It can be stored safely with toys of other materials as long as there is no risk of it hitting them and breaking.

The toy came securely packaged in styrofoam inside a clear plastic slip case. The toy is clearly shown through the front of the box, and the rest of the packaging includes text describing it explicitly as a sex toy. The packaging is not discreet, and includes minimal information about the toy - not that much was needed! The styrofoam the toy came in was bulky enough that I threw it out. I wish that there was some kind of protective case or even smaller disposable packaging included with the toy, so that I could store my toy without worrying about it getting damaged.
