Ego e4 - prostate massager discontinued by Jopen - review by Zandrock

The Ego e4 by Jopen is a vibrating prostate massager. Because only men have a prostate toy this toy is designed for men. A woman could use this toy as a vibrating butt plug, but I doubt it would work as well.

This toy is inserted into the rectum and once inserted it can be turned on and the vibrations can be increased to the desired level. This toy can be inserted and left alone, you can use it during sex, you can thrust with it a bit. All will change the experience, and all are pleasurable.

This toy is quite thin, but I do not think a first time user could insert it comfortably. You either need to have played with fingers or a smaller toy before trying out this bad boy.

The toy is in the shape of an L, so it does essentially have a base and it is very safe to insert anally without any worry of it getting stuck or lost in your great abyss.

This toy is quite small and uses a USB to charge. I think it would be very easy to travel with this toy. Most people travel with a laptop, so you could just charge it from there. The toy is small, its quiet, and would be easy to take on a trip.

The Ego e4 is made out of silicone. EF ranks silicone as a 10/10 safety rating and for good reason. It is non-porous, pthalate and latex free, and hypoallergenic. It is extremely easy to clean, is safe to share with multiple partners, and can be sterilized.

Silicone has no real smell to it, and tastes very neutral. Even after using the toy if you wash it, then it will still have no smell or taste to it. This is because silicone is non-porous and does not harbor any bacteria or fluids.

The toy is composed of silicone. It has a smooth finish to it. It actually does not have that much drag. But since the anal canal has no natural lubrication you will need to use some when using this toy. I found once you lube it up it slides in smoothly and nicely.

The toy has a smooth finish and no real texture to it. It has a bit of a wave in it. The head is larger to provide prostate stimulation and put pressure on it, while the neck is narrow for comfortable wearing.

The toy is actually very firm and hard which I was surprised by. My other Jopen toy (the Vr6) is quite flexible. This one has a very rigid arm. I actually wish it has a bit more flex to it. I am unsure if the rigidity is intentional or not. I personally would prefer some flex to the arm.

I think this is a relatively easy toy to insert. I think a complete beginner should use a smaller toy first, but someone with a little bit of anal experience should have no problem. The toy is smooth, it is silicone, and it is not that big, making it a good beginner toy, but the vibrations will be fun for any user.

This toy has two main design portions to it:

The first is the perineum stimulator. This is the portion of that toy that sits outside of you. The L is designed to go forwards (so from you anus it points towards your belly button). This stimulates your perineum which is enjoyable and also causes some external prostate stimulation. You can see there is a small upwards curve that really attempts to stimulate this area. The effectiveness of this is going to depend slightly on your own anatomy, but overall it works well.

The second design is the prostate stimulator. Now the toy has a larger bulbous head that is designed to really fill your rectum and put pressure and then transmit vibrations onto your prostate. Overall it is well designed and really does this. The head then tapers down to a smaller narrower neck. This makes the toy more comfortable and decreases the sensation of needing to push it out of your body.

The toy as a hole is well designed. It does provide dual stimulation in an effective manner. In terms of size this is a smaller toy. So anyone could use it, you will just need some warm up if you are new to anal play. The head is larger enough that you need to know how to relax or relax the muscles with warm up.

The e4 is completely waterproof which is fun. It makes it very easy to clean and you can play with it in the shower or the bath. It is very relaxing to put on same jets, stick this toy in, and play with yourself. Just a nice "you" moment.

The toy uses a USB charger. I find this okay. I do like the wall plug ins, but it does make the charger very small. You can hook it up to an adapter (for example the iphone ones) and charge it from a wall. Otherwise you will need to use a computer to charge it. It takes about 3 hours, and you get around 1.5-2 hours of battery life depending on the speed you use.

The toy definitely has an abstract or artistic feel to it. It has nice winding curves, and really does not resemble anything phallic. I think this is nice. It really makes it a toy and does not impose any gender identity on you, which can be a concern for men who like anal stimulation. (it should not be a concern though, you should be able to like what you like without judgement).

The toy also has a travel option. You can lock the toy and unlock the toy by pressing the power button three times. This prevents the toy from being turned on while traveling which is a nice feature to have.

This toy performed quite well. It does have a nice strong motor that really puts out some good vibrations. My only complaint is that motor is located in the bottom of the toy. I would want most of the vibrations in the head of the toy not at the base. But even with this small design flaw the toy puts out great rumbly vibrations.

The toy is operating using a single button. You hold it to turn it on and the longer you hold it the more power you get. There are no patterns on this toy, but honestly I prefer to not have patterns. I like straight vibrations, so I did not mind this at all.

The best part of the toy is the motor. It is strong. It is rumbly. It lasts a long time. It really puts out good vibrations that heighten prostate play. You can use this during masturbation, you can use it during sex. It will add a more intense and a different kind of orgasm to both.

The rigidity is a bit annoying too. I wish it would bend a bit more. It would just make it easier to insert and manipulate and sit on. But again I can overlook this without any real complaint.

Even with the design flaws I still consider this to be a 5/5 star toy.

Since this toy is made out of silicone it is very easy to take care of. Just wash it with soap and water when you are done. Since it is electronic you should not stick it in the dishwasher or boil the toy. You could however sterilize it with a 10 percent bleach solution and then rinse it.

Storing this toy is easy. Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from moisture. These are good precautions with all toys. Anywhere really is fine. The toy is quite durable. I store mine in a Ziploc bag under my bed.

Since it is a silicone finish you cannot use silicone lubricant with this toy. It could damage it. Instead use a water or an oil based lubricant for play.

The toy comes in a nice little box. It says Ego on it and kind of has stars for a background. Inside the box is also nice. It has the toy and the charger. It sits in a foam cutout for the toy. Other Jopen toys come with storage bags and I was a bit choked I did not get one with this toy. For the price I pay I kind of expected one.

The toy would be nice to give as a gift as is. It is packaged nicely and overall seems classy and like a luxury toy. It is not an overly discreet box though.
