Black rose rosie restraints - restraints discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by amazon

Sure, I have a set of leather cuffs (top, bottom, and choker), along with some steel handcuffs, Japanese bondage rope, and even some softer cuffs covered in fuzz...but I've never played with silk restraints. As seen in the stock photos on Eden, they come in a gorgeous purple, accented by a black silk rose at the center. When they arrived (packaged in the classy box with such a beautiful design of its own) I absolutely loved the color; which is just as nice in person as it looks online.

The restraints are part of a new set of Black Rose pieces. This set includes the restraints, a blindfold, a mouth bit, simple silk binding ties, and a vibrating panty. The colors, the silky soft materials, and the stunning black rose accents really make this set a perfect balance of sexy and beautiful.



The restraints measure 30" in length and just over 3" wide. Of course, the 30" length is not nearly what you get to work with. Each end has a finished loop, which when combined with very nicely finished seams, makes the use of the restraints very simple. By pushing the length of material through the finished loop you've just created your cuff. It will take a little adjusting of the material to flatten out the cuff (if you care to) and leaves roughly 10" of material between each of the cuffs (give or take about 1" - 2" depending on the size of the wrists or how tightly you pull the cuffs apart. I found that this gave just enough play to keep your wrists bound behind your back, but not keep them so close together that your shoulders will be strained. The simple design of the cuffs allow the wearer to really control the tightness around the wrists and the tension. But regardless of the tension, the silky soft material is just amazing against your skin.



All in all, the restraint is both full of form and function, which make this such an amazing addition to the entire Black Rose set.

While I do love this set (referring to the vibrating panty, this restraint set, and the blindfold), the roses don't seem to hold up very well in machine washing. I suppose I should have run them on delicate (I like to really test my Eden materials to review them). The materials do fine, but the edges become a little frayed rather quickly. Overall, still a winner!
