This is a fantastic whip for first time users, as we were when we purchased this. It's sexy. It matches a lot of our other toys. It's not intimidating at all. It's great to use to get comfortable with the idea of being whipped (which isn't so scary after all)!

The silky handle is a bit difficult to hang on to if you have anything on your hands (for us that was lube). The handle also isn't incredibly durable feeling, so I'd venture to say that this could be flimsy with more intense use. The length of it is pretty great. It's not too short, but it's also not too long. It's long enough you can rear back and give your partner a big smack but it's short enough you can flick your partner in a more up close and personal situation.

It's made of polyester, which is a 10 on EF's safety meter. In my experience though, the light material is what makes this so tame. We were really looking for something closer to a leather or suede flogger. We both get more out of spanking each other than using this toy.

This also makes a pretty great tickler. We have used this more as tickler than a whip. Gently run the tassels up and down your lovers body or gently glide it over their skin to build up excitement and finish with a smack!

The best thing about this was that it allowed both of us to get comfortable with the idea of being whipped, which we both were a bit intimidated by. As it turns out, we both really like it. Though this toy doesn't really sting at all, it sure does make a big "woosh" sound that really is a turn on!

For beginners, this will definitely get you started in the right direction!

To be honest, this has sat at the bottom of our toy box after the first week of owning it. It just doesn't have enough sting to make it worth keeping on top.
