Clamped shut!

Are you interested in nipple play, have a high pain tolerance, and have experienced other styles of nipple clamps and are interested in moving up? If y ou answered yes to these, then the clover style clamps may be for you. They are not for inexperienced nipple clamp users or the faint of heart. These inflict pain so you need to know your pain threshold when deciding to use these.

Use

According to Wikipedia, "a nipple clamp is a form of sex toy that can be applied to the nipples of either men or women to create pain by restricting blood flow from erect nipples by applying pressure to them." This particular clamp is a Japanese style clover clamp and Wikipedia says they can provide increasing tension if pulled. That would explain why there's a white nylon string hanging down from the clamps. I also learned that you can apply additional weights to them if you desire, but I have no interest in that at all.

I think these would be best suited for advanced users or those that can tolerate a lot of pain. I generally consider myself to have a high tolerance to pain, but maybe not as high as those that are exclusively involved in bondage and inflicting or receiving pain. With that being said, these hurt I wasn't expecting them to hurt as much as they did. I wouldn't suggest getting these as your first clamp unless you know you can tolerate pain.

I did not try them on any other areas besides my nipples. Since these restrict blood flow to the nipples, I would not recommend leaving these on for any great length of time. If you see any discoloration or they become uncomfortable I would remove them immediately.

Material / Texture

These clover style nipple clamps by Pipedream are made out of metal which is considered to be a sturdy food-grade material that is latex free, phthalates free, and non-porous. Metal rates a nine on the Eden safety scale. They have rubber backing on them to prevent from inflicting too much pain as well as a nylon string attached to it. The metal is smooth to the touch. The white rubber is raised and can be felt while running your finger along them.

They have a light smell of metal to them, but it is not something that is bothersome.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

These nipple clamps are silver with six petal flowers on the end that looks like a clover with a white string attached at the end. They are 3 1/2" long and open about 1/2" wide at the farthest. The spring levers are 1 1/2" apart from each other. There are twelve white balls on the end on each side of the clamp to help give some protective padding to the clamp.

They are spring loaded and are very easy to open and shut. The spring action remind me of those weights I've seen in my husbands grandparents house where you hold them in your hand and squeeze over and over again to bring strength back to your hand. I'm not exactly sure what they'e called, but they have the same spring loading action as these nipple clamps do.

To open, place your thumb and pointer finger on each end of the clamp and they will open. Position them on your nipple and gently release your fingers from the clamp to close.

These clamps fit easily over my nipples and did not move positions once they were in place. They're not adjustable, but I don't think that should be an issue with most.

Functions / Performance / Controls

I wasn't really able to tolerate these as I was expecting to. They're made for those who are used to pain or who have experienced nipple clamps before. I ended up removing the nylon cord because it was ugly looking and I don't see myself adding weights to it because I'll never be that advanced. Also, my husband would not pull on the cord because he's not really in to inflicting pain on me.

Care and Maintenance

I haven't had to clean these yet, but if for some reason you need to I suggest to use a toy wipe and lightly go over them and let them air dry before putting them away. You do not want moisture to remain on the clamps because the water could potentially make the metal rust.

They did not come with any storage pouch to keep these in, but they're very small that you could store them anywhere. I have a very small drawstring pouch that I keep them in nestled in my lingerie drawer.

Packaging

They came in a blister pack with a cardboard insert featuring a model wearing the clamps.

Experience

These are my second pair of nipple clamps and are the first of this style. My other ones were tweezer style and broke immediately. These have a good bite to them. I have a best friend that I share my experiences with and I told him about these. I suppose he thought I was a wimp or something because he's a tough Marine because he had to try them for himself. He agreed with me that these had a good bite to them. It was quite interesting to see him clip one to his nipple because that was totally unexpected.

A few months ago I bought the Medusa teddy with open bust, these nipple clamps, the adjustable spreader bar, and the purple fur lined wrist and ankle cuffs for a very fun evening with my husband. Needless to say my plan worked. I was quite sexy if I do say so myself with these nipple clamps attached to me in that outfit.

Personally though, they're a little bit more than I was expecting and they are only worn with my outfit. I don't wear them on a regular basis like some others may do.

Whoa! Their power is evident in your photo! My nips hurt just looking at 'em. But then again, I'm an admitted wimp.

Awesome review, thank you kindly for sharing. I think they would squeeze too hard for a weak one like me as well..
