..Now, This'll Just Sting A Bit..

The Nipple Clamps may not have the strongest bite of all the clamps I've tried, but they do add a lot of fun to our play. I love that the rubber keeps them from going anywhere (until my partner says so). I love that the nylon cord gives my partner the ability to pull on these all he likes. And, I love that I can wear these longer than stronger types of clamps without reaching my pain threshold.

Use

I purchased these quite a while ago (before I began reviewing on Eden) as my first set of clover clamps. I had only tried tweezer and aligator style (the adjustable kind with the screw in it) clamps, and had heard that clover clamps were the baddest of the bad. The creme de la creme. Clover clamps were so painful, I'd heard. Why, you'd only want them if you were a super hardcore masochist who likes to be in tremendous pain!

Because I'm a freak, I decided that all sounded perfect, and I was going to give these a go.

Who will they suit? Anyone who likes moderate (yes you heard me right) pain, be you beginner or advanced. If you're looking for that absolutely sharp, intense, out of this world, can't keep from screaming bite, then you may want to keep looking. These are good, but they don't deliver that much pain.

Material / Texture

These nipple clamps are made from a few materials. The main one is metal, though the package (and the EF product page) do not say what kind. I will say that it is very light weight and does not feel heavy in my hand, or dangling from my nipples or labia. The metal is smooth and hard, though no metal is designed to touch the nipples directly. The metal does not smell or taste like anything.

The second most abundant material in these clamps is rubber. There are two small rubber dots on the section that clamps your nipples. They are textured and will leave a nice little "waffle" pattern on your skin when you remove them. The rubber also does not smell or taste like anything.

Lastly, there is a bit of cord attached to the clamps. I can't say for certain what the cord is made out of, but it does look and feel a lot like nylon. The nylon cord does not have any scent or taste to it either.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

These clamps are clover style, and thus have the distinctive shape that clover clamps have. They are 1.5" wide at the spot where you fingers grip to open the clamps. They measure 3.5" long from the top of where the clamps pinch your nipples to the bottom of the metal. The little cord measures 5.5" long.

Medium to small nipples are best suited to these clamps. Fully opened up, the clamps measure just over a half inch wide near the rubber tips. If you have larger nipples, or are pierced, these may not fit.

I find personally that these fit my nipples very well, either at the very tip (which is the most painful to me, personally), or just behind the nipple.

Functions / Performance / Controls

These clamps have a couple of "special features" which not all clamps have. For one, it has that little nylon cord on the bottom of each clamp. I like the cord a lot because it gives my partner something to pull on when we're playing. You can also tie small objects (like a bottle of nail polish, or something else small and slightly heavy) to the cord (or use a different cord) to add some weight to these and make them more painful.

There are also rubber nibs at the tips of the clamps. These help prevent the clamps from sliding (like clothespins can sometimes do). I really appreciate the rubber nibs on these because I don't like it when clamps slowly slide off of my nipples (I have gotten cut really well from this happening). One thing to take note of though is that the rubber is very firm and offers nothing in the way of comfort. They are textured with little dots, and they are absolutely not "forgiving" if you don't like moderate pain.

Due to the wide and long shape of these, I don't think they would be the best choice for clamp to wear under clothing. The metal doesn't bend and if you use these under clothes you'll definitely be able to at least see the outline of the metal.
    • Easy to use
    • Stays on well

Care and Maintenance

You don't have to be too delicate with storing these. They won't break or be hurt easily. I have a "nipple toys" drawer, and I just toss these in with all our other fun nipple toys. These clamps are not showing the least bit of wear despire all the use they are getting.

You should have to clean them too often, but if you do I recommend using mild soap on a damp washcloth. Be gentle with the scrubbing, and just make certain these are absolutely dry before you put them away so they won't rust.

Packaging

These came attached to a cardboard board with a plastic piece o the front. There is a very non-discreet picture of a woman wearing these on the front of the package, so I wouldn't open these up around minors or room mates.

Experience

While I love these clamps, and while they are a lot of fun, they are absolutely not the most painful clamps out there. The most painful styles I have run across are the types which are aligator and adjustable with a screw. Those types of clamps (with screw removed) are the most intense clamps I have ever tried, and I own a couple of pairs.

These clamps, while wonderful and painful in their own right are just not the absolute monster clamps some people make them out to be. Yes they hurt, more than tweezer style clamps for sure, but they are very middle-of-the-road for pain level. Each nipple is different and some people will find that these hurt more than others, but overall, I think that if you're looking for extreme pain you'll want to look elsewhere.

Because these aren't my most intense pair of clamps, I find that I can wear them for longer periods than my aligator style clamps without injury or severe pain, but be warned: these are a lot more painful coming off than they are going on!

Thank you for the review of these, I had been thinking of picking these up again since my newest pair of clamps didn't work out for me because the chain was too short.
