Evil Can Float!

The Speak No Evil Choker Collar is a cute and water-safe collar. It isn't the highest-quality, and it can't hold up to heavy play, but if you like the cute design and cute colors and want a soft collar to play with, it can work.

The Speak No Evil Choker collar is a collar made by PicoBong - which is a line made by the producers of LELO that tends to be more affordable than their LELO line. Available in pink, black, and blue, the collar is made from neoprene and features a nylon lead strap clipped directly to the collar. The collar fastens with velcro, and it is 2 inches in width.

The packaging for the Speak No Evil Collar certainly left me confused. It comes in a small, inflatable life "raft". Am I kidding? No. The outside edges of this plastic packaging include little inflatable squares that, yes, the packaging includes a place to blow into the packaging and inflate the packaging. It protects the collar well-enough, and it's certainly unique packaging, but it does make me wonder if the price of the collar could have come down in the packaging wasn't so odd. It sticks with the PicoBong line's theme of "beach", but short of taking your bondage accessories in a pool where you need to keep them floating above the water to play with them (which sounds fun!!), I'm not sure most people would find much of a use for this inflatable packaging. Though maybe it could be used as a playtoy for someone else in the family (as the "adult" markings from the packaging are easily removed).

The design of the collar is pretty simple. It does fasten with velcro, so it's easy to put on and take off. With that note, it's very easily escaped as well. The pink color of the collar DOES include actual raised bumps - there is a noticable texture on the pink portion that can be a bit comfortable depending on if you attempt to rest the tip of your chin on the collar. I wouldn't worry too much about the texture though. On the front of the collar, there's the small nylon loop where the plastic clip is fastened. This clip can attach to any O-rings or D-rings that you'd like. The neoprene collar comes clipped to a long, adjustable nylon strap. This strap can be adjusted longer or shorter, and it can be used as a tether for a leash or just, if you don't have a leash, a leash in itself. It also could be used to fasten some of the cuffs to the collar as well, but as I'll explain later, be careful about putting any "weight" on the collar. This nylon "leash" is detachable very simply from the collar.

Something to note: as someone who uses and regularly plays with collars, this lack of a real "D-ring" could get in the way. The clip is basically permanently attached to the collar unless you cut the nylon loop that holds it there. Which would then give you NO attachment point at all on the collar. So be aware that you really wouldn't be able to use external clips on this unless you wanted to clip your external clip onto this built-in clip. If that makes any sense.

This colorful collar is quite comfortable. My partner was able to easily wear it throughout the day while doing things, and it caused no irritation or discomfort on his neck. It doesn't really "heat" up the neck uncomfortably at all, and it's easy to put on the neck as well.

Something to be aware of is that this collar is not meant for rough play. While it does include a D-ring and a clip, be aware that rough tugging on this collar may begin to rip the threads. We were playing with it, and I gave him a particularly rough tug, and we heard some of the threads start to rip off. While the collar and lead will work fine for actually leading someone around, if you try to do any rough tugging or struggling, I wouldn't recommend it for this collar set as I don't think it will hold up for that. Really, it just can't handle any particular weight on the collar, so just keep that in mind. For lighter play, though, the collar will work just fine.
Experience
We keep the collar around for water play though. Sometimes, it's fun to play with bondage in the shower or bath, and that's what this collar works for. It's very hard to find any bondage collars made of neoprene (most that are beginner-friendly are usually made from felt), and neoprene is a material that's happy to be in the water. For that reason, we do keep it around for water use, and it works fine in the water. We use the nylon lead and attach it to a handlebar in the shower, and it works fantastically as a collar. Again, you can't do too much struggling in the collar for fear of damaging it, but when it comes to water-safe collars, this is one of the few that I know of.

Another positive thing about this collar is the fact that it can be washed in the washing machine. We put it in a lingerie bag, and it came out of the washing machine just fine. For those of us (myself included!) who are a bit lazy and don't particularly like cleaning items separately, this works fantastically.

Do I think this is the highest quality collar out there? No. Do I think it's a very unique design? Yes. Is it comfortable? Yes. And, as the big part, is it one of the few Neoprene collars that I've seen suitable for water use? Yes. So, if you are okay with a light play collar that can come in the water and is easy to clean, then the Speak No Evil Collar is a good choice. Don't expect it to be hardcore, inescapable, or very high-quality, but for being cute and light, the Speak No Evil Collar does an okay job.
