Use:
These cuffs are no joke. Once you are in them, there is no getting out without the keys (unless of course they were not double locked and you are handy with a paperclip or bobby pin). As close to police issue as you can get without ordering them from a police supply site.


Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit:
These handcuffs are built to last when cared for properly. They are listed as painted, but it seems they have been chemically plated which lasts much longer than paint. As far as size, they will fit most wrists but they wont fit ankles comfortably.

The cuffs have a double lock feature which makes them more comfortable in a sense because one the double lock is engaged, they will no longer tighten. The cuffs come with two keys that have double lock pins at the top of them so after you lock your partner up you activate the double lock by pushing the pin of the key into the side of the cuffs - remember there is one per side (you will see a silver pin to complete this). Once you are ready to free your partner, you have to turn your keys clockwise AND counterclockwise to open them if you have activated the double lock.


Performance:
As I have said, these are the real deal. You definitely want to keep track of the keys before, during, and after use or you will find yourself picking them or if you can't figure that out...calling a locksmith. One can only imagine how embarrassing that would be.


Care and Maintenance:
When caring for the cuffs, if you find that they have sweat, body fluids, water, etc. on them, just wipe clean with a damp cloth and lightly oil afterward to prevent rust and ensure flawless performance.
