Keep it together

A great leather-free alternative. The materials are durable, comfortable and flexible. You are only limited by your imagination or personal flexibility/comfort.

extremely useful review
The hog-tie restraint set can be used for any basic sort of bondage or self-bondage scenario.

For use in a bondage scene, the hog-tie restraint set can be used "as directed" in a traditional hog-tie, where the subject of the evening's play is on their stomach with their arms pulled back and wrists behind their back, ankles-to-wrists. But it is very easy to do just about any sort of bondage with this basic set. With a little imagination, the wrist cuffs can be attached to a belt, making for wrist-to-waist bondage or the set can be connected and clipped in the front (rather then in back/behind) for those who maybe aren't comfortable with having their arms behind their back or have medical conditions which make it difficult for them to breathe when having the weight of their body/laying directly on their stomach/chest. In our household it had gotten alot of use with a dog collar, where the wrists will be bound and the clips at the end of the cuffs are hooked on a D-ring on a dog collar, just at the base of the sub's skull, around the back of their neck. This draws their arms and elbows up, and while all the straps and clips are right there at the person's finger tips, the close proximity of all the parts, plus being behind the person's head make it difficult/confusing to undo - plus, usually the sub is too busy/distracted by the sex or "punishment" and discipline to focus on the fine motor skills it takes to undo it the clasps behind the neck.

For self-bondage, the velcro makes binding wrists and ankles easier then having to fuss with buckles and/or locks as with the case with more advanced restraint sets. For those who are so inspired (and a certain degree of flexibility), you can easily wrap the velcro straps around your ankles, hook them together, then bind your wrists and use the clips by locking onto the ring of the opposite wrist cuff. In doing so you can make a "figure eight" ( 8 ) connection between the pieces even without the center O-ring. this can be done behind your back or infront of it. In any case, with a little bit of rehearing, you can do it blindfolded and position yourself somewhere in the house (on the floor at the end of the bed, under the holiday tree, etc) and wait to be discovered and enjoyed!

Because it is velcro and the clips are within finger's reach, if you are in a bondage or self-bondage situation, and you need to get out of it (say, the phone rings, you have to use the bathroom, you're tired of waiting, or "escape" is part of your role playing scene), it is very easy to do so on your own.
The only thing about velcro is that sometimes it clings onto other materials and fabrics that are not apart of the cuffs. Just keep that in mind when storing it, as it's gotten stuck to some nylon cord and a sweater once, not doing any damage to it - though gets some of the fibers stuck to the velcro and after some time, begins to look a bit messy. So keep that in mind when storing the hog-tie set, I suggest putting the velcro pieces together so that they don't pull or get stuck on anything else - also - connect the five pieces together so that the central O-ring or any of the cuffs do not get lost. That mentioned, once I did laundry and discovered that the hog-tie set had gotten thrown in with the bed sheets. Apparently the washer and dryer didn't mind the metal, velcro, faux fur or straps - it was thoroughly abused by the process of being cleaned, and held up perfectly.

Also keep in mind that velcro is not stealthy, if you are trying to escape from it while playing in a scene, your partner will hear you as the pieces of velcro are pulled apart. But otherwise, for the price, you are getting something very efficient, sturdy and versatile.

Nice review. Seems like a versatile piece. Although it's easy to hear velcro coming undone, do you think it would be easy enough for someone to escape these in certain positions?
