Keep this one strapped to the headboard.

"Hog-tied" restraints are great for bondage-lovers of all kinds - those just starting out, wanting an easy way to tie wrists to bedposts, and those with more... creative uses in mind.
It's meant for hog-tying (wrists to ankles), which rocks all by itself, but it can be used for SO much more. It's truly awe-inspiring. I almost cried from joy when I realized the possibilities.

Think about it like this: Cuffs are meant to tie together multiple 'columns' - like wrists and ankles. Wrists and ankles are columns, but so are necks, bed posts, thighs, upper arms, a pair of wrists, a pair of ankles... there are so many (including torsos, if the restraint is large enough)!

This restraint can hold up to 4 columns at any given point - and even more if you clip rope or other hardware onto each cuff's carabiner and fasten it to yet another column. You can separate the cuffs from the central o-ring hub and clip them together, making many combinations: all 4 cuffs connected, 3 connected and 1 alone (the single cuff secured with rope/etc.), 2 pairs of cuffs, 2 together and a pair of single cuffs, a set of 3 singles, 2 cuffs (your classic set of cuffs), a pair of separate singles, and even just one cuff. It's enough to boggle the mind, I know.

Here are some ways to combine all these possibilities (I didn't include the ways that require extra fasteners - except for #2, just to get the imagination going):
1. 4 cuffs connected: One around the neck, one around each wrist, and one to a bedpost.
2. 3 connected and 1 alone: One around the neck, tied to another column (I suggest bedpost) & 3 connected, wrist to wrist to ankle.
3. 2 pairs: One pair connecting upper arm to calf/ankle, the other pair connecting both wrists to the bedpost. (this one leaves the restrained one delightfully open)
4. 2 cuffs, in a pair: Neck connected to bedpost.
5. A single cuff: Worn as a collar. Not the most stylish, no, but it's fun to yank on, and it can be strapped tightly for those who like constriction.

I bet you can come up with another few...
So, with all this in mind, this ingenious little 'hog-tie' is really a multi-multi-multi-purpose tool. What's that saying? If you can imagine it, you can create it.

Oh, and if you're disappointed that you don't have bedposts to try some of these nifty combos on, dry your tears. Get some cheap rope, or strapped together belts, or spare garden hose - whatever you've got - cut several long pieces and fasten them in a tight loop around your mattress. Then you'll have sturdy 'columns' on your bed (which is all a bedpost really is) that you can fasten to as you please!

I love the design's versatility, for all the reasons above. Here's a quick and dirty rundown of the hardware that makes that versatility possible (see the picture if this gets confusing):

4 cuffs, each with velcro closures and a 1" metal ring (the kind used on keychains, so you could take these rings off if you like) around a nylon loop. These rings are looped through the base-end of a carabiner, which you can clip to the rings on the center hub. The center hub is a 2" o-ring enclosed in 4 nylon loops, studded shut, each with a 1" metal ring looped through.

The main materials, metal and nylon, are safe (9/10 on the safety scale), though I'm unsure what the 'faux-fur' cuff lining is made of. It feels wonderfully soft and comfortable on my skin, though, so I'm not too concerned.

The cuffs are quite adjustable in size - they fit both me, an ultra-petite 5'2", and my partner, whose thigh is the same size as my waist. Impressive! The individual cuffs, when velcroed shut (with a minimum 1/2" overlap), range in diameter from 5" to 14.5". For larger body parts, whether a small thigh or a thick neck, you can velcro two cuffs together, to create a maximum diameter (with 1/2" overlaps, though more overlap is sturdier) of 29.5", or nearly 2.5 feet! And since you have four cuffs to work with, it could expand far beyond that.

I really do keep this one strapped to my headboard - it's definitely one of my top three toys. The design is awesome, the cuffs are easily adjusted (one-handed, if need be), and the sex is just plain hot!

For heavy kinksters, be aware that you can get free of the velcro fairly easily, if you were really trying. It may not be the best for hard-core strugglers, but I think for all but some extreme situations, these restraints are great.

There are tons of unexpected applications, as I explained early on - I'm a little embarrassed to admit that this review took me a year to write, but that also gives you an idea of the MANY ways to use these restraints... and I've only skimmed the surface, I'm sure.

My partner's thoughts:
"Well... I liked it a lot. It was good and creative, but I wasn't into at first... I thought, oh, this is just another restraint, but then you pulled it away from the bed and I saw what it was, and thought, oh! - I can have control from a central unit, and you can remove all portions from it and you can do all different things. Exploring the versatility of it was the best part - you find new things, and you're like woah!! This is f--king awesome!"

For the record, when she said she could "have control from a central unit," she meant: It was incredibly hot when she hog-tied me (its intended use) into doggy-style, fucked me from behind, and used the central hub to yank my arms, forcing my face down into the mattress. She also fingered me through the central o-ring, "at her disposal" with my arms and legs bound. Awesome.

Of course, you can do many other things with that central hub... just use your creativity.
