Use

The purple fur lined ankle restraints are cuffs designed to restrain ones ankles either together or to something. I personally use them to restrain my ankles to a spreader bar. All you need to do is clip one end to the spreader bar with a clip that's not included and the other end around the ankle restraints d-ring. However, they are pretty versatile restraints so the possibilities are only limited to your imagination.

To use, insert the small piece through the metal buckle and insert the pin in the proper hole that accomodates your size. Think of it like a belt buckle and how you adjust it properly to keep your pants from falling down. To restrain them effectively make sure they're tight enough to keep you restrained, but not too tight where it restricts blood flow or cause pain and discomfort.

If you're going to restrain both ankles together it is best to have the d-rings facing each other so the clip (or whatever device you buy or use) is close to one another.

I believe these restraints are suited for beginners and advanced bondage users alike. They are very easy to use, and are very sturdy and should withstand tugging and pulling of the restraints. Beginners will appreciate the comfortable feel to these restraints.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

Here's a comparison photo up against the wrist restraints. As you can see, they are pretty similar except the ankle restraints are just a tad bit longer.

The thin strap measures 12 1/4" long and 1" wide. The fur part is only 10 1/2" and it's 2 1/4" wide. It has five cutouts to adjust the buckle for varying sizes and there's 6/8" between each hole with a total of 3 1/2". It has ten decorative metal studs or rivets that holds the thin leather strap to the thicker fur lined leather securely. My ankles measure 8 1/2" around and I buckle it comfortably on the second notch, so if your ankles are too much larger than that these may not fit you.

I find the cuffs to be highly crafted and sturdy that should last a long time with proper care. I've been using them for a few months now, and there is no visible sign of wear and tear to them thus far. The fur is sewn securely to the leather and there are no loose strings. There is a D-ring in between two sets of rivets on the cuffs that allow you to attach the together or to something. Again, the quality seems very nice to me, but this is the only kind I have of this design all of my other restraints are either metal hand cuffs or velcro.

The fur feels very soft on the skin and prevents any skin irritation while wearing the cuffs. The leather is soft and not stiff. It easily rolls together to allow the cuffs to fit around the ankle easily without having to worry about it.

The metal buckle and pin are lightweight, but are secured to the thin leather strap by rivets so I don't foresee any issues there.

Performance

The purple fur lined padding on the cuffs is very comfortable to wear and feels very nice on my ankles. The material has held up very well for the time that I have had them. The D ring that's on the cuff gives it a perfect place to add a clip to it and attach the restraints to my spreader bar. I have not had any issues with these restraints at all. I can easily put these on by myself and can restrain them to the spreader bar very easily. They adjust really well and the spacing is perfect and provides comfort while restraining at the same time.

I am able to wear them for extended period of time without feeling hot, being chafed, or feeling itchy. They by far met and exceeded my expectations as a cuff for my spreader bar.

Here's a couple pictures showing it restrained together and to my spreader bar.

I really like the versatility of these ankle cuffs. Although I use them for a specific purpose, I know they could be used for other things depending on what type of bondage items you have. I wouldn't recommend them for suspension though.

Care and Maintenance

Leather should be stored in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. If you happen to need to clean these, use a lightly damp washcloth or a toy cleaning wipe. Whatever you do, do not submerge these in water as it could damage the leather.

Packaging

The ankle restraints came in a clear plastic clam shell container. No instructions or care sheet was included with it.

Personal comments

I bought these along with the matching wrist restraints to go on the adjustable spreader bar. Purple is one of my favorite colors, and when I was looking for restraints to go with my spreader bar these looked like a comfortable, durable choice to pick. Again, these do not have any type of clip to them to restrain them together or to attach to your device so you have to either buy some or use what you already have at home. I personally just bought some cheap clips at Wal-Mart because they suited my needs of attaching the D ring on the cuffs to the ring on the spreader bar. If you didn't do this, you'd have a purple fashion accessory.
