Fetish Fantasy Elite open-mouth gag and mask - mouth gag discontinued by Pipedream - review by Vegan Silk

This adorable light bondage mask is not lockable and it doesn't quite provide full coverage. The gag has the same type of clasp and doesn't quite stay on as in the picture. Because of the material it would be great for shower or other wet environment, just be sure not to slip. While smooth and fairly comfortable, it doesn't quite provide the experience I was imagining.

The eye covering of the mask is 9 inches across and provides 3 inches of vertical coverage over each eye. The nose bridge is 1 inch vertical measurement. The largest circumference the mask can accommodate is slightly more than 19 inches. I say slightly more because the material has a little bit of give. This could be an issue. It just fits my head at its largest setting. I know lots of people with larger heads than mine.

The gag has the same maximum circumference as the mask. The gag portion from outer edge to outer edge has a 1 1/2 diameter. The inner diameter is 3/4 of an inch. that means the walls of the O- ring 3/8 that of an inch wide. the height is about 3/4 if an inch tall. It is very sturdy and doesn't have have any give.

Both the gag and mask have the same type of clasp and adjustment.

The clasp is plastic which hooks together behind the head.

The adjustment is very much like swim goggles but slightly more secure. it is the type of adjustment on a bra strap as well, a rectangle with a bar across the middle and the strap threaded through. The straps each ave a ridge which keeps the clasps from accidentally falling off.

There is a small opening on one side of the rectangle so the loose end can be removed. This is makes adjusting the length easier.

The material is sticks to itself so it doesn't move unless you remove that part of the strap. When you are finished adjusting thread the loose end back in easily through the gap..

This is good because it won't slide during use, but it means that you cannot adjust it while it is on, which means you need to adjust, try it on, adjust, try it on etc until you get it right.

The mask gag and straps are 100% silicone. The material feels nice and is completely seamless. There is only one part of the toy that has seams. The inside and outside of the gag have a seem going around them, but it wasn't noticeable in use.

This is a high quality material that is non-porous and which can be sterilized. However, the plastic clasps prevent certain types of sterilization. It is also a lint magnet. I left it out overnight and this morning all parts of the toy are covered in bits of lint. It wasn't on a particularly linty surface, it just attracts it.

This is cute idea but in this case it is poorly executed. The straps on the eye mask are so high up and they pull unevenly on the mask. It might also be because they are so narrow. It pulls across the top very tightly, while the bottom stays loose. The bottoms of the mask can flap away while it is on and don't stay flush with the skin. This means that you can see light from the bottom, and even see out a tiny bit.

Again I want to mention that it barely fits me at the largest adjustment and my head is fairly average. 19 inches is small for the max circumference of a toy like this.

When wearing the gag the o-ring twists in my mouth. It turns horizontal which is annoying. If I hold it carefully I can keep the "O" upright if I hold it very carefully. I can see that being part of a game with a Dom where there might be a punishment if you let it twist. I don't like the feel of it horizontal in my mouth. I have a sensitive gag reflex and it goes back a bit far for comfort. I don't gag while its in, but when I take it off it I have gagged very ungracefully.

I don't know what "other adventures" PipeDream thinks you can have through a 3/4" hole. I suppose you could cum into your partners mouth while they were gagged. You can stick your tongue through the hole (though it doesn't extend much), so that might be useful. 3/4 of an inch is not much room for most things. Any sort of food or drink would be dangerous because swallowing is difficult when you have your mouth held open, so I would even be wary of cumming into someone's mouth while they had it on.

The toy is easy to care and store. It folds VERY small due to the thinness of the straps and material. I would suggest Keeping it in a plastic bag because it is such a lint magnet, and just in case, I would wash it before use as well as after.

The easiest way to clean it is to wash with soap and water. This will be just fine for most uses of the toy. If you want to share the gag you may want to sterilize it.

I was disappointed that you can't really remove the plastic clasps. The strap has a ridge which prevents it from falling off, but that means you can't remove it to boil it, or completely submerge it in a bleach solution. To me that is the beauty of silicone, it can be sterilized for multiple partner use. You could still sterilize part of it by dunking most of it in a bleach solution. This should be good enough for most uses as the only part not sterilized will be the part near the clasps.

In games I like that involve masks and gags various fluids get everywhere. So be sure that when playing with this toy, you are using a water based lube for all the other activities. It would be disappointing if that silicone lube you used with that glass toy your dom uses on you ended up on the mask or gag and degraded the silicone.

I was so excited to get this product to review. I really wanted to like it. It might work for people who are looking to try something new and don't mind a blindfold that completely blinds you. Maybe that would work better for you. But for me, it completely fell flat.
