We love these

I love sportsheets line up. I have only had a problem with a few of their items. The cuffs and tethers are not one of those items. We have been using sportsheets tethers for over 2 years now. They are great. I do not have one complaint about them.

Use

Have you ever purchased a pair of cuffs and tried to figure out how to make them work for more then just restraining her wrists behind her back? Have you ever looked at your BDSM equipment and tried to figure out what was missing from the collection? Have you ever wanted to make your cuffs or collar more useful in the bedroom? If you answered yes to any of those question, then you have to pick up some sportsheets tethers. These things are great. This is the 2nd pair we have added to our collection. We use them on the bed, in the sex swing, on the homemade bondage bench, and just about anywhere we can think of.

This is best used for light restraint. You know, the type of play that does not involve your partner hanging from the hook in the ceiling. They will keep your victim from getting loose, so don't think that these are only for Disney BDSM. They do work. My wife has never wiggled herself free, no matter how hard she has tried.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

These are made from Polypropylene webbing, ABS plastic hardware, and nickel free metal hardware.

The webbing is strong and sturdy. It does not stretch or feel flimsy at all. The webbing is designed to hold you in place. The ABS hardware is also pretty strong. It takes quit a bit to adjust them, not something that will come loose in the middle of play time from your victim wiggling around. It does not want to come loose without you holding it away from the webbing while pulling to make the adjustment. So someone straining against the restraints will not cause it to loosen up. The metal hardware is not the best quality. I would have to say these are light duty grade. The finish on them is not the best. But then the price on these are low enough to not require them to be the best quality. They are heavy duty enough to hold onto some cuffs. I would not try to suspend someone from these tethers, as I don't think they would hold.

These are adjustable from about 48 inches at their longest to about 10 inches at their shortest. That is a pretty wide range. Plus if you need something longer, you can add two of them together to make them reach even further. Just about any distance you needed to get, you can keep adding these to each other to reach it.

I could not find a flaw in the webbing or the ABS hardware. Everything looked to be in perfect order. The metal had a few flaws in the finish, but nothing major. Nothing we could not live with. The metal is not something I would want to get wet, and/or keep wet. It is not the best quality. I feel if you get it wet, or put it away wet; you would start seeing some rust starting to eat away at your hardware.

Performance

These have worked out great. Not only our first pair, but this brand new pair. We use them all the time on our bed. We have a four post style bed, and it works great for attaching to the posts and then to the cuffs on my/her wrists and ankles. These also work great for tying her up to the swing. I tie her wrists up to the grab bar on our swing so she cant go anywhere. I also built a fun little bondage bench for us, and they work great for attaching her wrists and ankles to the bondage points I designed in the bench.

I find it easiest to attach a cuff to the bed post, then attach the tether to that cuff (sportsheets cuffs work great for this, and they are cheap), then attach the tether to the cuff on her. Then you just pull the strap until you get no slack in the distance between the two cuffs. They are super easy to use. And super easy to adjust on the fly. We have never had a problem with these. And we have been using them for over 2 years. I know they are not the prettiest to look at, but they work damn well and they don't break the bank.
    • Comfortable during use
    • Easy to put on / use
    • Holds up to use well

Care and Maintenance

These do not come with instructions telling you how you can safely care for them. Luckily for us, these do not get dirty very often. They are not in the "line of fire" so to speak. They tend to be used away from our genitals. So they don't really get bodily fluids on them. Every now and then they might get some sweat on them, or some lube from a slippery hand; but that's about the extent of filth we need to worry about. Now this might be different for your bedroom, as your play methods will differ then ours. If that's the case, I would stick with the soap and water method. Using care to not get the metal hardware wet. Followed up by hanging them out to dry before putting them away. This method has worked for us in the past. We purchased the sportsheets tethers and cuffs set a few years ago, and have not had any problems following this method for care. But then we have only needed to wash ours a few times.

As far as storage goes. Just toss them in with the rest of your bondage gear. We keep ours in a few different places. Hanging up in the closet, or put away in the drawer. Either case works.

Packaging

These come packaged in a heavy duty cardboard box. The box is in no way discreet though. It has pictures plastered all over the back and front, of a couple using the tethers in sexual positions. The models are not nude, but they are pretty damn close to it. The box really serves no purpose then for shipping and display use at a brick and mortar store. There is really no information per say included with the packaging. It would be nice if it came with some cleaning instructions. There is a short erotic story on the back, but that only serves as a marketing tool for those looking at the box before making a purchase.

We tossed our box after opening it and taking out our tethers. It does not really serve as a storage method, and I don't want my kids seeing the models on the outside, if they were to find it.
    • Not discreet
    • Recyclable

Experience

These are great. Like I stated above, we purchased sportsheets tethers and cuffs kit a few years ago. I love the tethers, and we needed some more for around the bedroom; so I purchased these. They work on the post of our bed, on the bondage bench I built, or just for some basic bondage fun. The work with all the cuffs sold on this site that do not come with tethers. Nothing worse then picking up a new pair of cuffs, thinking that you are ready to have some fun the day they show up; just to find that you have no way to attach the cuffs to each other or your bed. These are a must have for anyone into bondage play.

It would be nice if you could find these made from leather. I love leather, and would love some leather tethers.
